The Craft Site I Visit, Populated By Fundies, Rejects GOP's Terri Fiasco |
|
Edited on Fri Apr-01-05 06:27 PM by cryingshame
I frequent a craft site that is heavily populated by vocal Fundie women. Home-schooling, Christ-on-their-sleeves women who love Bush.
Yes, there are those of us on that site who differ in our viewpoints, but we often just let the loudmouthes spout off in their own threads.
FYI, the one thread on Terri had little support for what the GOP did.
95% said some of the following:
they wouldn't want to live as a vegetable & had their wishes codified they felt uncomfortable with the spectacle the meddling of Govt. was out of bounds.
ANYONE who says Democrats might end up being burned by what happened in Florida, is full of crap or sorely mistaken.

2. I know what you mean...I scrapbook... |
|
and that hobby tends to attract major Republican fundies.
I'm pretty much surrounded by them.
Most of the comments that I've heard (and I haven't heard a lot) are on the side of Michael Schiavo.
Most people seem repelled by the circus into which this very private matter has blossomed.
I wonder if the bagpipe guy went home with the juggler...

3. Even nuns at a hospice are talking about the Gov't intrusion.... |
|
Now, these are hospice workers who deal with terminally ill patients and PVS patients on a daily basis. BUT they are nuns and THEY DISAGREE WITH THE FEDERAL GOVT INTRUSION INTO THIS ISSUE.
W is finally a uniter (to quote another DUer):grouphug:

Good news.
And I think Dems did the right thing by staying away from the issue pretty much. The repugs were shooting themselves in the foot, and anything one of the good guys might have said could have been taken out of context.

5. Yes, but will they do anything about it |
|
This administration and the neo-con movement should be an affront to traditional repubs. How many are willing to make a stand?
I'm floored by how these dim-wits continue to support a man that works against their best interests.

10. Fundies at my workplace also hate that Bush got involved. Anyone |
|
who thinks the Pubs won on this should think again. This place is as crazy fundie as you can get, and they all feel this way.
