State of Virginia will go for Kerry in the upcoming primary vote, February 10, 2004....

this is the FIRST Virginia Democratic Primary....so many people worked so hard, just to HAVE a primary in Virginia, to overcome the reTHUGlican stench here.....there was one other primary a long long time ago, but it was non-binding....therefore, February 10th is the FIRST Virginia Democratic Primary that is binding...

so, on February 10th, Virginia throws off it's reTHUGlican background and embraces Kerry....we are excited....please VOTE if you live in Virginia...and vote for Kerry

5. you can sign up for 'meet-ups' on JFK's web page....
http://www.JohnKerry.com

fourth Thursday of every month at 7 PM

I live in Alexandria, but I went a meet-up in Falls Church....come join us....

if you want to get involved RIGHT NOW....we need help at the John Kerry National Headquarters in DC (you must be 18 years old) ....contact info for headquarters is on the JFK web page....it's fun, there are LOT's of great people helping at the headquarters....(some of the young computer whiz-kids who volunteered earlier in the campaign were converted into PAYING jobs, but that only happens to those who are hardworking volunteers, and prove themselves over time....prevents reTHUGs from crashing in)....

didn't I meet you at the restaurant party for DUer's, prior to the anti-war protest on October 25th???

glad that Kerry did good tonight...we were working on his campaign and could't watch...Kerry is a winner....Kerry is OUR next President of the United States. Kerry will make us all proud again to be Democrats and really PROUD to be Americans....

2. oh, it's the 10th? Ok, good!
For some strange reason I kept thinking it was on Feb 3rd, thanks for the headsup. And yes, Kerry being a Vietnam vet with honor will really help him here in VA.

Will I have to go vote in a different location for this primary, or my usual voting location? The repukes here aren't heling much about the primary details...

'Official' web page to confirm....

remember, this is a FIRST time VIRGINIA DEMOCRATIC PRIMARY....

it NOT a caucus, like Iowa...it's an actual VOTE, individual private voting....

my current understanding is that you go to your REGULAR VOTING PLACE...

if anyone finds some web site confirmations for the process, please post...

and also, PLEASE tell all your friends, neighbors and relatives who support KERRY to come on down and VOTE FOR KERRY on February 10, 2004....

4. How were your numbers?
I just got back from my Kerry Meetup and we went from 4 people last month to 40+ this month. I know this is small compared to some of the other candidates, but it's still an impressive bounce.

One of the topics we discussed was writing letter to people in VA. I'm so please that things are looking positive for him there! :)

starting to join the winning team...

it is an impressive bounce...we had major players that switched over from Gebhardt, Clark, and Dean.....people who head teachers groups, nurses groups, veterans groups, sportsmen groups and more...

GO KERRY

THANKS for writing letter to Virginia Voters....we really really appreciate that effort...just realized that you are in Ohio??
The local folks certain would appreciate the 'personal' touch...Virginia has been real reTHUGlican for many years...a recent break-through is that our new Governer Warner is a Democrat !!!! (but not a real left-leaning Democrat, but a Democrat at all is great for Virginia)...the first thing he did was to pave a lot of the dirt roads in rural Virginia...which is a BIG boost for the reTHUGlican areas, a good gesture and gives them a taste of what Democrats are about - community values....

WE need your help...we're working hard to make the BIG switch for Virginia to embrace Democratic values and morals...

7. The term "MeetUp"
I find it interesting that you Kerry people are adopting Howard Dean's term "MeetUp" to describe your meetings.

The very fact that all the other candidates are copying Dean's model for internet fundraising was one thing. Now they're stealing his terminology?

Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery, they say. I guess Dean should thank you.

11. The first time I was introduced to a "Meet Up" was with the DNC
and a democratic Meet Up. I actually think the candidates have adopted it from the democratic party.

10. that's why we are working very hard...it'll be real tough in this
reTHUGlican bastion...but we can do it...we now have a DEMOCRATIC Governor...Warner....and my Congressman in Alexandria is Jim Moran, Democrat....

so the fundamentals are there...and Kerry, a DECORATED Vietnam War Veteran just might do it...if we all join together and get busy....there's lots to be done....we need YOU...

12. Virginia can be won by we Democrats next year. It is not really...
a southern state anymore. Remember, in 2000 the results were
Bush 52% and Gore 45%. Add Nader's 2% and that's 47% for the center-left candidates.
