Was there a hit out on Clark tonight? |
|
I don't think so. All the candidates had their share of oddball, confrontational and loaded questions. Clark's inexperience as a campaigner is what made it seem as if things were tougher for him.
I've been saying for months that Clark needed to respond to the conflict between his lobbying for Acxiom and his stated positions on civil liberties. The heat of a debate is not where you want to answer this kind of question the first time.

1. If you "don't think so", then you phrased your question wrong, no? |

2. I DID get the gist of what he was saying about Acxiom, but he could |
|
have made it clearer. Something that clearly stated that he was involved with the company because he was interested in improving national safety, but that he had NO input into the filal product (because he was no longer involved with them by then) and if he HAD had input into the final product, he would have insisted on the system respecting personal privacy.
This is one of those issues that I agree with him on...I just don't think he always frames his answers well.

As someone who disagrees with him on the issue, I do have to say that I think he made the case you articulated.

3. Yes, the whores want Kerry, they know he'll be easier to gun down in theGE |
|
They should be ashamed of themselves. Even Kerry's lighting was different that the other candidates. He was lite more from above it was weird. I wish I was stupid enough to fall for this shit, I would be a lot happier.
BTW The fact that they so strongly attacked clark tonight, it restored all my faith in the man. He is no repub! Thank goodness, it was hard not trusting him.
They fear Dean and Clark, they should team up and kick um where it hurts.

4. Post game was a hatchet job |
|
The 7 person debate is not Clark's best forum. That said, I thought he did an excellent job answering the questions, including Acxiom. The post debate commentary was a definite hit. They loved Lieberman and Kerry for crying out loud!

7. I think most of the candidates got tough questions tonight |
|
It might hurt a little more for Clark supporters though because he hasn't participated in the last several debates.

12. No, it's just that when you skip debates the backorder piles up. |
|
They had to do some venting, bout time I say. This was the first debate that wasn't a flame Dean fest.

13. Hope everyone knows Jennings & Hume |
|
are close friends.
Brit Hume was a reporter for ABC for years, while Jennings was anchor.
I've heard both of them talk about it.
