Medford hotel owners say Bush Admin. left them with unpaid bills
This was part of what pissed me off when Bush and Cheney campaigned on the US nickel last fall ...

MEDFORD -- It's a distant memory for most of the country, but President Bush's campaign swing through Southern Oregon is fresh for hotel owners still waiting to get paid nearly $19,000 for expenses incurred by the administration last fall.

Three hotels, including the Rogue Regency, the Red Lion and the Jacksonville Inn, report they have been waiting almost six months for bills generated mostly by the U.S. Secret Service during President Bush's whirlwind tour through Jackson County, according to an article by the Mail Tribune newspaper.

Owed $3,332.72, the Red Lion Hotel in Medford sent a letter on March 28 to the president at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave.

The letter written by the hotel's accountant Kirsten Yunuba Stephens, said: "My question to you: Is this how you help balance the budget at the White House by ripping off retailers in the towns you visit? If that is the case please do not come back to the Rogue Valley."

1. They should have known from Bush's first term.....
These ass clowns run up massive debt without a clue on how to pay it off. Doesn't matter if its a trumped up War or a bunch of hotel rooms.

3. There's nothing worse than a deadbeat that ....
has the money and won't pay or wants to negotiate the bill after services are rendered. Crooked, dishonest and cheep!

5. I guess they think they're 'royals'.
I feel bad for the business owners, but I have to say this, Fuck Medford! That is the most right wing town in Oregon. To think of Bush and his cabal of murdering crooks pissing on some of the people in that town does not surprise me, nor does it bother me all too much.

My sister and my nephew moved there last year. My nephew had a 'Kerry' sticker on his notebook, and the little Nazi spawns were on him like a pack of rabid dogs, calling him names like, 'faggot' or 'fairy for Kerry'. My nephew wasn't all too bothered, but rather bemused that these ugly homophobic slurs were the norm with these kids. Some of them weren't getting a reaction from the name calling, so they decided to take it a step further and punch him in the halls. He suggested to one kid that they meet after school and settle their differences when they both wouldn't be suspended since the kid would not leave him alone. The kid chickened out and said he had better things to do. All this, because my nephew was one of maybe a handful of liberals in the school. Needless to say, it got so bad my sister had to pull him out of school and home school him. Even here in Salt Lake it's not that bad. :(
