I really haven't heard anything definite yet, and is he goingto be speaking there? God, what a disaster if he does. Putting millions of people's lives at risk. I really hope nothing happens there.

2. AS of this morning yes and he will "lead" the US delegation ...
And I thought of how all the security will fuck it up for the people who really deserve to be there ... everybody BUT him.

8. He won't speak, thankfully
He'll sit on his ass and listen to a bunch of cardinals and archbishops speak, and probably hear some good singing from a guy who might be a castrati, or his package never dropped properly.

Supposedly, there will be a small section of the service that is in english, he'll perk up for that. The remainder will be in latin (the old days!) and in a slew of different languages. They'll need to have a few interpreters on hand at the media outlets to do it justice.

6. Of course he will!
He needs to be gittin' over thar to let them cardinals know what kinda Pope they need to be pickin' next. Otherwise, they might select a pope unacceptable to him, don't you know!

7. You can bet that the Italians are thrilled to be graced by Shrub
and his 3-ring security circus! I heard on the "news" last evening that there would be extra security in place in case of massive protests! Wonder why THAT would happen...

Peace!

22. Welcome to DU, Whitedove!
:hi:

I, too, am ashamed to be an American now. The man occupying the Oval Office is there illegimately and is not my president.

p.s. great username!

15. I hope whoever is in charge of seating arrangements
finds a nice pillar for the chimp to sit behind, so that his smirks, yawns, and apelike facial expressions are not broadcast to the world.

Wonder who has the thankless task of telling him he hasn't been invited to speak. Maybe he'll reconsider and stay home.

16. So little time...
so many wine tasting tours.

I've always wondered...do Shrub and Pickles tote their own
liquor around when traveling? They really couldn't risk
having it delivered via room service.

If I were chimpie (oh thank god thank god thank god I'm not) I'd be scared out of my wits. Which he probably is.

No doubt Poppy will be there - I just wonder if they're brazen enough to take #41 and snub #42.
