As Governor of Vermont, Dean instituted and maintained forward-thinking policies in the areas of civil rights, healthcare, education, the environment, and the workplace. In his life as a public official, Dr. Dean has championed a powerful, grassroots progressive movement.

He laid his career on the line in 2000 for us and frankly may well have won the White House in 2004 but for having done it. I am glad he is getting his due.
