WASHINGTON, D.C. -- If you're wondering why Democratic Sen. Hillary Clinton and Republican guru Karl Rove will be in Minnesota this weekend, Larry Sabato has an explanation: It is on the list of "permanent purple" states.

He said it is neither Republican red nor Democratic blue and is bound to be competitive in the 2008 presidential election. "That guarantees Minnesota lavish attention from both parties regularly," said Sabato, director of the University of Virginia's Center for Politics.

Rove will appear at a fundraiser this evening at the Minneapolis Convention Center for Republican Gov. Tim Pawlenty. Clinton will speak Saturday night at the DFL Humphrey Day dinner at the Hilton Hotel in Minneapolis.

2. Rove is already behind Frist in 2008...or so the buzz has it.
...and I don't want to see a Frist-Hillary battle.

ESPECIALLY in Ohio. DOUBLE-ESPECIALLY ( ! ) if fatass Rove is running the Frist campaign.

3. I hear from Bush family "friends" that Jeb is in fact going to run.
Rove will have to back Jeb. I think a Dem Southern Governor (Easley) could beat Jeb, but not Hillary.

4. I can't believe Jeb would win...

...against Hillary, yes. Against someone that Rove hasn't already painted a bullseye on, NO WAY.

I think just about any Rove-backed Republican could beat Hillary. I don't say that to start a flame war with Hillary supporters. I say it because Rove is a vile, unrelenting PIG who...after all...made the phone call that got the Swift Boat Scumbags rolling. IMAGINE what he'd do with Hillary. On second thought, DON'T imagine it. Let his weight and black heart send him to hell with Lee Atwater. THEN Hillary can run.

do you realize that if Jeb gets 8 years, we will then have 20 years of rule from this family dynasty.

14. Mr. Bill "homeland security" Frist
certainly didn't help me out when my ex threated to leave the country with my son. In fact, despite my pleas for his help in getting my ex's immigration case to move forward - so that SOME resolution would be made - he never even acknowledged my existance.
Fucker.
I'll expose him for this, if I have to.
And my son is a doll - very photogenic. I'm sure his picture splashed up every where with headlines announcing that Frist refused to protect him wouldn't be good for his campaign.

15. I'm still thinking it will be Romney.
Blue state governor.

With a female vp.

People will think it's a big change...

McCain is getting too old, but he may get the nod. According to Kevin Phillips what stopped McCain was not the bush rumor-mill, but money. The bushes cut it off.

Follow the money.

Ditto the Dems. It's always about the money.

but this Hillary for Pres in 08 stuff just freaks me right the f out

One what in the name of fuck makes them think America is going to for the first time in it's entire History vote a Female politician into the office of the Presidency .

Not only a Female but a Democrat

Not only a Female Democrat but by most American standards a

Liberal Female Democrat.

Not only a Liberal Female Democrat but one that has shown by past actions that she wants to bring National Health Care to all Americans.

Nothing and I mean nothing would unite the Rightards of America into
a stronger and more formidable opponent than nominating Hillary Clinton for the office of President.

You think the swift boat veterans were a nasty piece of work you ain't seen nothing if we go with Hillary as the candidate in 08.

With all this said I think what America Needs is a Progressive Liberal Female Democrat as President. Imagine the possibilities.

12. Exactly. OTOH Barbara Boxer, would be liberal, Dem, and maybe electable
At least she wouldn't sell out her own party the way Hillary already seems to be doing.
