Restaurateur Throws in the Towel

In this post about a year ago, I pointed to an article in the Erie Times-News that fingered John Leonardos, the owner of the Waterfront Seafood and Steakhouse, for federal tax evasion.

Prior to this, Leonardos used the media to stage a pathetic promotion to get bodies inside his establishment by dumping $1000 worth of French wines to show just how patriotic he was. This was at the height of the anti-French movement--in which Congress attempted to slap our ally by renaming French Fries Freedom Fries. Thankfully we can always count on Congress to protect us from... American food. That'll show those damn Frenchies.
