limbaugh invited to speak at Yale Law School
the poorly educated fat boy who is a total badass behind the mike, but somehow got out of serving his country, and maintains the sanctity of marriage by discarding wives like bill frist discards integrity was ragging on the "liberals" at Yale and how they wanted to rewrite the constitution. He whined about how he probably would be banned from the school.

http://www.acsblog.org/news-and-announcements-1214-the-ball-is-in-your-court-rush-limbaugh.html

The good folks at Yale have extended an invitation for limbaugh to address them on constitutional law. They even said they'd work around his schedule.

A hearty well done for the Yale Law School. Let the excuses begin, coward.

3. Not a joke
He spouted off about liberals wanting to rewrite the constitution. Yale sent him a copy of the constitution and invited him to speak. Legit. Good for them.

Oh, then I feel better.

Yes, they called his bluff. But, you know - I hate giving that asswipe any kind of legitimate forum. So, I'm annoyed, but, thanks to the replies and enlightenment, I am no longer suicidal.

Thank you.

25. double whammy
I hate giving that asswipe any kind of legitimate forum.

But this is why the letter is so brilliant. The people who listen to Rush don't consider Yale to be a "legitimate forum," and the rest of the world gets to imagine the absurd juxtoposition of Rush Limbaugh and education.

29. I respectfully disagree
You give the public more credit for discernment than I do.

I think giving people like Rush Limbaugh publicity of any kind simply makes them even more visible and, to the unthinking majority, gives them the unearned gloss of a legitimate association with Yale.

But, hey, Welcome To DU, sphmug!

4. Perfect. Should we be surprised? Black is white and pigs live in trees.
For what's it worth, he IS a successful businessman - just a total scumbag otherwise...

I just hope he keeps his comments apolitical, because his politics have NOTHING to do with his success, as I believe he could have been an advocate for communism, the chameleon / demagogue that he is.

Question: anyone know what's up with the drug investigation?

6. bush's alma mater, limbaugh's waterloo
He was a failure at everything he did and then he turned to hating for a living. He is a success the way hitler was a success. The only thing he knows how to do is hate people. I would be very surprised if he accepts the invitation. He likes to be in a controlled atmosphere. If he went to Yale he would be exposed to free thinkers, educated people, people of culture; in other words, way out of his league.

14. yale gave him a copy of the Constitution.

...... In your broadcast, you also refer to our "little pretend new Constitution." Enclosed please find our gift to you: a pocket-sized copy of the U.S. Constitution. Since the Founding, it has belonged to all of us. While it is "little," it is certainly not pretend. We hope that you will come to Yale to speak and take part in this very real dialogue.

Talking Points Memo has posted the full letter at this link.

15. I'm sure the evil liberals at Yale are trying to entrap him
They just want to get him onstage to ridicule him. However, in his little head, limbaugh knows that the only one who will make a fool of him is the guy in the mirror. He will use this invite to make his lemmings hate advanced education even more.

The Ball Is In Your Court, Rush Limbaugh

Last weekend, ACS' Yale Chapter hosted a conference entitled "The Constitution in 2020," which conservative radio personality Rush Limbaugh found quite objectionable:

20. He would be wayyyyy out of his league

.....We are flattered by your interest in our recent conference and would be honored to have you visit Yale as a guest speaker. As you discussed in your broadcast, over six hundred progressives -- practicing lawyers, policymakers, academics, students and others -- came together to discuss a progressive vision of the Constitution, just as the Reagan Justice Department got together in the mid-1980s to produce a conservative vision of "The Constitution in the year 2000." You mentioned the possibility that you might be banned from such events. To the contrary! We would welcome you to Yale and believe that an event featuring you would be well-attended by our members, other students at the law school, faculty members, and representatives of the university.

28. He's still arguing that he has the right to keep his medical records
private after he's lost every appeal, how about we start up demanding that he pay for the court costs involved with his wasting out tax payer money since he's a rich, fat, manipulative, whining son of a bitch.
