I just got polled about a rather interesting subject!
The poll was about the economy but it ended with asking me separately what I thought of Senator Edwards, did I like him and did I consider him a moderate liberal or conservative! Next they wanted to know the same about Senator Boxer! Do you think this is advance research for an Edwards Boxer ticket? It couldn't have been just about an Edwards Presidential run as they didn't through in any Republicans! What does everyone think. I don't know who conducted the poll.

2. Absolutely, and a mix I wouldn't have thought of. I told them Edwards
struck me as a moderate and Boxer as a liberal. This might be the best of both worlds, though I still like Kerry Edwards!

3. Interesting. What State are you in?
I think that's the very kind of questions pollsters ask when potential candidates are trying to get a feel for people's feeligs in specific areas.

4. Kerry failed to investigate irregularities in the vote.
Boxer stood up for us and and Edwards wanted to but Kerry did not. That makes all the difference!

9. I'll be honest
I don't think Edwards would accept another role being at the bottom of a ticket. Plus while I think along with Russ Feingold, Barbara Boxer will be one of the most mentioned VP candidates I don't think she could win with her name at the top of the ticket

11. Well, we really don't know how Mr. Edwards would feel about...
that... We would have to ask him.

Ms. Boxer is probably the only totally real Democrat in all of Congress. She proves herself time and time again. She talks like a Democrat and votes like a Democrat - a real Democrat that is.

Could she win? - only if elections are transparent and if we vote for her.

In actuality - she could be the best President this country could ever have...

12. I don't necessarily agree
with that middle statement, but I guess we'll agree to disagree on that. Obviously your right I can't know how Edwards would feel on being a VP candidate again, I just don't think anyone who has been a VP candidate once would want to go through that again. In completely fair and transparent elections, if we had Barbara Boxer vs John McCain with all due respect to Barbara I think she'd get taken to the woodshed. But if we have Edwards/Boxer vs McCain/Dole I think we have a very good chance of winning.

13. Being the liberal I am - you have the right to your opinion...
Edited on Sat Apr-16-05 09:56 PM by SnoopDog
..and I respect your opinion...

Also, I could never vote for Ms. Clinton...

All I am saying is that Ms Boxer is the most truest democrat there is in Congress...

And the way you feel is just that - the way you feel (about Mr. Edwards). He, too, I feel, is an awesome Democrat - I just feel Ms. Boxer would kick start our country back to being the great country it is.

I just want our country back...

14. Well saying Boxer
is the truest Democrat in Congress is quite different from saying she is the only true Democrat in Congress. I agree with you about a Boxer presidency, I think she'd be a great President, just like I think John Kerry would've been a great Presiden too. The problem I see though is I don't think Kerry was a great candidate and I don't think Boxer is a great candidate yet. I think 8 years as VP to a great Pres. would more than do the job though.

15. With what you just wrote...How could Mr. Edwards be any better?
Mr Edwards served only one term... Ms Boxer - class 3 - established track record and longevity...

I know one thing we both hopefully can agree on - we want our country back - no matter who is president!

17. As evidenced by
Gore vs Bush track record and longevity alone won't make someone a great candidate. Maybe I'm wrong but I can't see Boxer being able to beat someone like Hagel or McCain right now.

18. Gore actually won in 2000....
as per recounts after the illegal court appointment...

So, exactly, who are your candidates to run in 2008? to beat piss ants like hagel or mccain?

19. Yeah Gore did win
But the fact that it was as close as it was, was a testiment to his weakness as a candidate, he should've been able to get atleast 325 EV's and 52-53% of the vote. As far as candidates I like, John Edwards is a guy who I like, Wes Clark another guy who I think would be a great candidate. My Senator Russ Feingold would be a good candidate, although like Boxer I think he would be best suited as VP for now, I'm not too big on also rans but I think Gore would still be a solid candidate. Then there are the Governors Bill Richardson and Mark Warner, although I think especially in Warner's case they'd be best suited as VP.

16. You know why Boxer would be a great President?
Because I would believe her. Out of all of the people in Washington, she is the only one I believe and think could handle the pressure of the Presidency. There are others that I respect and asmire and would be glad to see earn the position but Sen. Boxer is my hero, tried and true. If she wanted to run, I swear, I would spend every single day campaigning for here. I would use every asset I had to urge others to support her. Even though I am poor, I have connections that are not. I would raise money for her campaign and beat the streets with a bullhorn calling people to her side. I can't honestly say I would do that with as much conviction on any other candidate. Barbara Boxer is my side, my hero and I am thankful everyday for her. On Valentines day she recieved 5,000 roses, she deserved 500,000 roses. She may not be your ideal President but to me, she would be the greatest President.
