JFK....Jim Garrison's accusations about the Gov't....
Edited on Sun Apr-17-05 10:53 AM by jus_the_facts
....watched Oliver Stone's JFK on DVD again recently..it wasn't too hard to realize that our current situation is a direct result of the death of JFK and the powers that be then laid the foundation for what's happening to our country and in the world today...it's all to clear in light of the truth's Jim Garrison fought to get on public record...the executives of so many super corps used to be upper echelon of the military industrial complex...who're today still raping the American way of life for their perpetual wars....and the billions they make each year from it....so many who were part of the cover up then are more powerful today...their illusions even more so...

What are your thoughts about the assassination of JFK and the ramifications and repercussions we've endured from our gov't as a result...

1. Kennedy wanted to dismantle the Federal Reserve
Banks own the Federal Reserve and Kennedy wanted to dismantle it. I just find it strange that it is not mentioned when listing the options for why he was killed.

5. Kennedy was killed by his domestic enemies.

For all the reasons that are still with us now -- that in toto can be defined as Fascism. It just took 40 years to become a fait accompli.

After they ACTUALLY took over, it took 40 years to brainwash the American people that they WANT fascism. With the brainwashing by the media, and the rise of Murdoch, Limbaugh, etc., they did it.

Remember, it was the media that covered up the truth of the assassination in 1963 and 1964, extending to present day. The cover-up was a complete failure and only succeeded because of the media's failure to inform the public.

The media has been stacked with intelligence operatives from the dark side since the 50's. Now they own it. Not a very pretty situation. The only thing that can change this is mass protest. MASS protests, because even a million people in the streets doesn't impress the Covert Media.

9. If a million people march on WDC
and the media doesn't cover it, did it happen?

If tens of thousands protest the GOP Convention in NYC and the media doesn't cover it, did it happen?

This is a superb online book (also available in published format) which shows a side of Kennedy I never knew about, and provides an incredible overview of the forces behind the assassination. I can't recommend it highly enough:

27. Having read the portions having...
... to do with the assassination, the really creepy bit is the full-page ad with the black border in the Dallas Morning News, which the commission sort of glosses over as the work of three amateur right-wingers, and only once mentions who actually paid for the ad (notably, Nelson Bunker Hunt), and Gen. Edwin Walker never comes in for the sort of scrutiny by the commission that he deserved.

That Hepburn mentions that both H.L. Hunt and Edwin Walker had made plans to leave the country and meet in Mexico the day of the assassination is equally creepy.

29. Do you think its a coincidence?
TWO Presidents, minted money and borrowed from the government itself, instead of the federal reserve, with NO interest payments. Kennedy and Lincoln. Then BOTH of them were shot in the head?

8. I always thought the Mob killed Kennedy at heir own behest
The rumour goes that Papa Kennedy go together with his old bootlegging friends a couple of weeks before the election and got them to get out the union vote. Which allowed Kennedy to win by his narrow margin. Then him and Bobby started going after the mob with guns blazing which pissed them off. SO in retaliation the offed JFK. The conspiracies that work the best are the ones that are the simplest. Garrison's problem is he got so paranoid that he believed everyone was in on it and he spun a conspiracy so complex that it would make Machiavelli's head spin. The problem is that his is so large and with so many players that one it probably wouldn't have worked and two if it actually did somwhere down the line something would ahve leaked out. No one is that good at keeping secrets especially in light of the fact that so many other things from that time have come to light.

12. You would be very surprised what the Mob can do though there is the
possibility that they were helped by a government agency or rogue elements in that agency. But to think that one could get the Mob, FBI, CIA, US Military, Cuban Exiles, Secret Service and members of the government together and have them carry out a successful plot to kill the president and then have no one talk about it or anything leak out is just ludicrous.

21. You can't leak or talk about it if you're dead -- and an amazing #
of people surrounding the events of that day died very early and sometimes totally bizarre and/or unexplained deaths.

Then too, a lot of people have an unproductive idea about how conspiracies work. In order for their to be chance of leaks, people have to think they've done wrong (and need to confess) AND there have to be media and other institutions willing to press the issues if there are leaks.

Here's a post I wrote about conspiracies (not very articulately, but perhaps the points will not be all that difficult to comprehend) and following that some other info I've collected on Conspiracies:

The Magic Bullshit (Minstrel Boy)
http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topic&forum=104&topic_id=2300021#2302016

QUOTE:
Many readers are naturally be inclined to gravitate toward the former when confronted with ideas considered "outside the box", therefore it is necessary to define the phrase "conspiracy theory".

The term "conspiracy theory" consists of two words, the active word being "theory". By definition, a theory is a concept, an idea, a proposal, a supposition. Example: "In theory, if I purchase a raffle ticket, I could win the prize." However, once the first ticket is purchased, winning is no longer a theory, but rather a possibility. The more tickets that are purchased, the more possible and eventually probable the win becomes. The same can be said about a conspiracy theory. As long as there is no evidence to support the conspiracy theory, it remains a theory. Once however there is one piece of evidence to support the theory, no matter how flimsy or circumstantial it may be, the conspiracy is no longer a theory, but a possibility! And the more evidence there is that is gathered, the more possible and eventually probable the conspiracy becomes.

15. The Mob doesn't have to be in control of the government outside of a
local level and are smart enough not to want the job. As for oil it wasn't a big deal back then because between us and the Brits we had the control. Libya, Iran, Iraq, all had our puppets, the oil companies in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia were all American and British. Mexico and Venuzuela were no problems and the US was still pumping a lot of oil out of the ground. You have to view the world through the lenses of that time period not today. Everyone talks about the military complex wanting war in Vietnam to sell equipment. WHY!? Did they have a crystal ball to predict how long the war would last and how expensive it would be. Don't you think that arrogance would win out with such a crew and they would decide that since we are the US and one of the two most powerful nation on the planet that the war would be over in a few months. If it was going to be done that quickly do you think the would predict that many dollar signs in their future. Don't get me wrong Oswald was not the lone gunman and he had help from some powerful agent but when it comes to JFKs assasination paranoia gets a little to thick and tosses logic out the window. taking the topic from the realms of a serious attemtp to find out what happened to farce.

DejaVu: A 'People's Deeper History of the United States.'

INTRODUCTION: Nothing much to say. I put this together for people (like me) who never think there's a reason to vote. I beg of you to relent! Being a citizen means being informed and aware, and you can start right here. Please read DejaVu, any of it, before you decide not to vote again in 2004. Pick a page, any page, and learn something about the vision of YOUR FUTURE held by our leaders. And even if you remain unconvinced that there's any threat, you'll at least be compelled to admit that DejaVu is a fascinating story.

Footnoting will eventually include almost every line in DejaVu; I hope to finish with that project by next year (I'm assembling the bibliography right now, due in another month).

30. As it said in the movie JFK
Could the mob have changed Kennedys parade route? Could the mob have pulled the military presence from the city of Dallas? Could the mob have made the Warren Commission intimdate witnesses and ignore evidence? Made them botch the autopsy? NO, the mob might have been involved but no way could they have pulled all the strings that were pulled before or afterwards. Gov involvement, no way around it

59. Perhaps the Mob.
The mob-Cuban connection is the only one that strikes me as plausible. Kennedy was a moderate Democrat. He dramatically cut taxes on the rich and was an avid cold warrior. There was nothing remotely threatening about him from the point of view of establishment America.

I have my own theory that this insistence that Kennedy's assassination was a right wing plot is an expression of frustration over the poverty of leadership in the Democratic party. It also reflects frustration over the rise of the Right in American politics. People create an ideal past, with JFK as savior, in which the great traumas of American history since 1963 never existed: no Vietnam, no Nixon, no Watergate, no Reagan, no Bush. A mythical past, lead by this hero that they have refashioned into a leftist radical when he was in reality an establishment, centrist politician.

....that are available in hindsight...he'd fired top members of the Pentagon and was poised to destructure the military industrial complex which had been established since WWI and became most powerful amid WWII...the mob/cuban ties were just pawns in the greater picture of what was happening then and who's still in control of the planet now...the tactics they used to keep us in Veitnam are the same today with Iraq.....and they've cemented our fates once again to continue their agendas..the reality of the world at present is directly tied to the history of ago....you must see thru the illusions they've attempted to dilute reality with...it's all there in plain sight if you focus on the bigger picture of the PROFITS made and by whom....the media's role in forming public opinion about Oswald/MOB/CUBANS are exactly the SAME as the OSAMA/TALIBAN/TERRORISTS angle....workin' like charm isn't it?

The MILITARY has created their monsters....they spent the time between the Cuban Missle Crisis and today training and arming our nemisis...and the profits keep rollin' in for the players of yesteryear...today.

63. In fairness
he wasn't going to "destroy" the military industrial complex. JFK was big on defense. However, he was going to make significant changes in it, including reducing some of its direct influence on the politics of the day. And, of course, the CIA was going to be reduced in stature, and brought under control.

JFK was a tough man. He wasn't anti-military, or at all willing to risk US security, as he saw it, in any way. In fact, because he recognized certain things within the country as posing the most severe threat to a constitutional government, and he had the balls to confront them, he was removed.

76. who are they?
"he'd fired top members of the Pentagon and was poised to destructure the military industrial complex which had been established since WWI and became most powerful amid WWII.....the tactics they used to keep us in Veitnam are the same today with Iraq.....and they've cemented our fates once again to continue their agendas.."

Are they in your analysis the military? Are you actually arguing that we are in Iraq because of the military? You must know that is not the case. And you must know that Kennedy increased the American presence in Vietnam over it's levels under Eisenhower. A brief look through any American history textbook will tell you that. Remember than Robert MacNamara was a Kennedy appointee. Kennedy was a Cold War hawk, far closer to the neo-cons than are most contemporary Democrats. The Cold War was enormously profitable for defense industries and Kennedy helped them reap those profits.

Rumsfeld has also shaken up the Pentagon and early in the Bush administration announced plans to completely restructure the military. He and Bush remain in power, despite the fact they are very much resented by many non-civilians in the Pentagon.

One strength of the American political system is that the military is clearly subordinate to the executive. That sadly has not been the case in some parts of the world, Latin America, for example, during a good part of the twentieth century.

I find the rest of your post incompressible. You refer to "the media" and terrorism. Have you taken a few minutes to ponder on what "the media" was in 1963? We had three networks, and the news coverage was nothing like that which dominates today. From our perspective, the news would have seemed quite liberal.

Assassinations do not come out of the ether. They are plotted by particular individuals and groups. Who is this media that you think killed Kennedy or orchestrated the cover up? Walter Cronkite? Eric Sevaride? Edward R. Murrow? Or their employers? And you must count among them the hundreds of Kennedy historians, living fat off the hog on their 40-50k salaries. And of course the Kennedy family themselves. Is Edward Kennedy also part of this right-wing cabal that eliminate his brother and covers up this "reality" to which you refer? Whose profits were in any way impeded by JFK? You seem to imagine there is some amorphous force responsible for all evil in the world--presidential assassinations, the media, terrorism, Osama Bin Laden. None of this suffices to explain who killed Kennedy. For that you need to demonstrate an actual criminal conspiracy, of the sort that have been documented against Salvador Allende, Jacobo Arbenz, and Joao Goulart. In the case of Allende, there is a clearly documented evidentiary trail between the Nixon administration, the CIA, ITT, and the Chilean military. Similar evidence exists for the coups that ousted Arbenz and Goulart.

So again I return to my question. Who are they? And what would they find so offensive in the presidency of a multi-millionaire who delivered to the wealthiest Americans billions of dollars in tax revenues?

Lastly, none of what you say in no way contradicts my theory of why the idea of a JFK conspiracy is so present among some on the left. Your post instead provides evidence of exactly what I describe. Conspiracies such as the one you articulate provide the comfort of simplicity. If we imagine one nefarious group--your "they"--is responsible for all misfortune that besets humanity, we don't have to understand the rather complex and disorderly nature of the world we live in. We don't have to undertake a serious examination of the international capitalist system, and the varying ways in which the wealthy have devised political systems that legitimate their control in most nations throughout the world. If your "they" are responsible for terrorist acts against Americans, you don't have to fact the fact that as an American you are hated because of the kinds of policies your government--Democratic and Republican administrations alike--have implemented abroad. You can blame "they" rather than acknowledging that we as American voters and consumers have blood on our hands, because our tax dollars pay for mass murder and our consumption comes at the cost of human lives. The idea that JFK did or might have done anything to change any of this strikes me as highly unlikely.

Like all American presidents, Kennedy had his strengths and weaknesses. His handling of the Cuban Missile crisis earns him an important place in history. Had another man, of say George Bush's character, been in office at that time, it's quite possible that none of us would be around to discuss any of this.

70. Like Garrison said "Did the Mob appoint the Warren Commission?"
Did the mob change the parade route?

Did the mob appoint the forensic pathologists to do the autopsy at Bethesda? (Men who had never before done an autopsy of a gunshot victim.)

Did the mob fake the autopsy photographs?

It goes on and on. The mob involvement was limited to the mob's involvement with domestic CIA operations.

16. Those are two totally different things
and how would they stage this coup? They had neither the House or the Senate, the supreme court was packed with FDR appointed justices and LBJ became president and if not for Vietnam would have run for a second term and probably won. Then to top it off Bobby would probably have been next if he hadn't have been shot. Also by the early 70s, eighty percent of the population no longer believed in the Warren Report. Not exactly territory conducive for a coup.

19. Google Smedley Butler
Smedley Darlington Butler (July 30, 1881—June 21, 1940), nicknamed "Old Gimlet Eye," was a Major General in the U.S. Marine Corps and at the time of his death the most decorated marine in U.S. history. Butler was twice the recipient of the Medal of Honor, one of only 19 to be so honored; he is noted for his outspoken left-wing views and his book War is a Racket, one of the first works describing the military-industrial complex. An immensely popular figure in the United States at the time, Butler led the Bonus Army and came forward to the U.S. Congress in 1933 to reveal a plot to overthrow the government of President Franklin D. Roosevelt.

http://www.answers.com/topic/smedley-butler

Notice that I highlighted "military-industrial complex" Why did LBJ escalate the war in Vietnam?

"Bobby would probably have been next if he hadn't have been shot"
Why was Bobby shot?

Does it matter if 100% of the people now do not believe the Warren Report? We're no closer to knowing what really happened. It's been successfully covered up.

Forward to 2005. Who's in control of the Executive and Legislative and much of the Judicial branches? The news media? Looks a lot like a coup to me.

aren't you?

BTW, you're the only other person I've seen (besides me) at DU to express the sentiment you did in your OP. I think the Kennedy assassination was the BEST of our "last chances" for routing the corrupt fascists from our government, and the Bush scandals of the 80s the other (S&L, Iran Contra, even The October Surprise). They were thoughly emboldened by what they got away with re Kennedy, and of course learned a lot in the process too.

ONE of the things they learned was that "accidents" (viz. small plane crashes) were a lot more palatable to the general populace than assassinations, and a lot easier to cover up too. Probably way easier to set up and implement as well.

Oops - forgot the links:

When I saw the movie I didnt even see anything contorversial except the things Donald Sutherland said. and certainly isn't a documentary, parts of the movie are accurate. The scene with Mr. X in the park, while it didn't occure that way, contains information that is absolutely correct. The movie is not "horrible"; but it should be recognized as a movie, not a documentary.

38. It's interesting to note
page 211 of "Man of the House," the political memoirs of Tip O'Neill. He says that he never believed there was a conspiracy until 1968, when he was having dinner with Kenny O'Donnell and Dave Powers. They talked about 11-22-63, and both men told Tup that they had definitely, without any possibility of a doubt, heard gun shots coming from the grassy knoll. O'Neill asked them why they hadn't told the Warren Commission? They explained that the FBI told them that it was important that they lie to the Warren Commission.

On face value, a person can figure if two of Kennedy's closest friends were told by the FBI to lie to the Warren Commission, the goal was not to find the truth about what happened in Dallas.

Those who think that it is possible to read between the lines in a book by O'Neill might think it interesting this topic was discussed in 1968.

If at all. Just within the first few seconds of being there you can see the official story is absolute, utter bullshit and physically impossible. As to who did it, I believe it was a CIA operation done at the behest of the MIC carried out because Kennedy didn't want to expand the operations in Vietnam into a full blown war and because he also saw who really pulled the strings in Washington and was going to dismantle them. Ruby was allowed to assassinate Oswald because he was telling the truth and would have exposed the wider conspiracy.

43. I'm refferring to the area not so much as the spot.
The overpass is a more likely spot for the assassins though the knoll does have it's advantages. The fatal head shot definitely came from a foward position and not behind.

44. Which is why the hole in the back of JFK's head
is so much smaller than the hole towards the front of his head, right?

45. It came from the knoll.
Anyone who has shot anything large with a gun could tell you there is no question about it. None.

The exit wound of the fatal shot is clearly on the right side of Kennedy's head and the Zapruder film makes clear that he was not twisting his neck and head around sharply to his left at the moment of impact. No wound was present on the left side of the head, neither the front nor the back. (Nor were any bullet fragments found in the interior rear driver side of the car, but then that bit of information came from the FBI so you'd want to discount it, I expect.) If the fatal shot had come from the knoll you'd expect to see a blowout somewhere of the LEFT rear of Kennedy's head. That's not present. The shot could have come from well in front, or behind, but there's no way POSSIBLE it came from "the knoll", neither the pergola nor the fence. Any hunter, anyone with military experience, anybody who'd ever plinked tin cans with a .22, should immediately sense that the shot came from some side OTHER than the side of the head that exploded. (Actually anyone could figure it out, but people used to observing the effects of bullets on bodies should understand it at once.) It could come from the left, or from the fore or rear, but not from the right. Since there is no wound at all on the left side of the head, a shot from the left is ruled out, and that leaves ONLY well in front or behind, on the passenger side of the limo's center axis (right side, as viewed from behind). And since the rear defect of the skull is much smaller than the large blowout of the right parietal temporal area, that means the shot was fired from behind.

53. Didn't the doctors at Parkland

say there was a large (exit) wound in the right occipital (sp) area?

I liked Stone's film. I believe he made it more to get people talking about the assassination and questioning the official story. I watched it not too long ago and particularly liked the summation Garrison gave in the courtroom -(paraphrasing) "How many assinations, how may plane crashes will it take before people wake up?"

54. Um, dead wrong.

The Zapruder film has an ejecta cone blown out of Kennedy's head that is completely inconsistant with a frontal impact of *ANY* weapon. It is consistent with firing a centerfire rifle round through a human skull from the rear.

The Zapruder film is also consistent with any credible understanding of firearms and impact ballistics. It is entirely inconsistent with the back of his head being destroyed - you can even SEE the intact back of his head when his brains are blown out.

Z312-Z313-Z314, NOTHING happens to the back of his head. That fits with an entry wound - they only make bloody poofs in Hollywood. Exit wounds make the mess, particularly with something like the skull.

If there was a shooter on the grassy knoll, he didn't fire the fatal headshot, and since the angles simply don't work for him having fired the neck wound - he would be right IN FRONT of the limo if you don't believe that one came from behind as well, he missed everything.

69. No family is THAT cursed...
Here's what I found on a quick google search:
http://matt-marriott.faithweb.com/destruction/jfk_jr.html

Puzzling questions about the death of JFK Jr. - the plane crash:

a)Why were a tiny prescription bottle and a small piece of luggage (both PERSONALIZED with Lauren Bassette's and Carolyn Kennedy's name) immediately found ?

b)Why would someone have their luggage tagged with their name when there was only three in the plane ?

c)Why can't the US best searching vessels find in the Atlantic Ocean, after four days, a PLANE or any significant part of the plane ?

d)Why would a beginning pilot not file a flight plan?

e)What is a high profile person doing taking such risks and where was his security ?

f)Why is it there was no survival equipment on board? How did the coastguard know this?

g)Why, when the plane initially disappeared off the radar screens, was no emergency or rescue procedure immediately launched ?

f)Why was it that these steps where only taken once concerned friends and family called for assistance?

Of course, this is probably grounds for another thread... but how do so many mysterious/tragic events plague one family??

51. The Col. L Fletcher Prouty Reference Site
Oliver Stone consulted with him to make JFK-

The Col. L Fletcher Prouty Reference Site is a focal point where researchers can locate and retrieve articles, books, videos, and tapes on a variety of subjects which Fletcher has written and participated in.

Col. Prouty spent 9 of his 23 year military career in the Pentagon (1955-1964): 2 years with the Secretary of Defense, 2 years with the Joint Chiefs of Staff, and 5 years with Headquarters, U.S. Air Force. In 1955 he was appointed the first "Focal Point" officer between the CIA and the Air Force for Clandestine Operations per National Security Council Directive 5412. He was Briefing Officer for the Secretary of Defense (1960-1961), and for the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
At times he would be called to meet with Allen Dulles and John Foster Dulles at their home on highly classified business. He was assigned to attend MKULTRA meetings. In this capacity Col. Prouty would be at the nerve center of the Military-Industrial Complex at a time unequalled in American History. He has written on these subjects, about the JFK assassination, the Cold War period, and Vietnamese warfare, and the existence of a "Secret Team". He backs up his his work with seldom seen or mentioned official documents - some never before released.
Fletcher Prouty offers a rare glimpse of the "Power Elite" as described by Buckminster Fuller, or "The High Cabal" as Winston Churchill refered to them; and how they really operate. Those who have not been in a position to witness events such as these from the inside would not understand how invisible but ultimately effective they and their power structures are.

56. Ummm, on that site, he says oil is not a fossil fuel.
>>In the first place what is oil? Is it 85% carbon, 13% hydrogen and 0.5% oxygen with traces of sulfur and nitrogen. Most geochemists ( in the pay of oil companies) believe that the oil originates from the decomposition of organic matter. They would have us believe that because organic matter - that is, formerly living organisms - is quantifiably a very limited source, the supply of oil itself must be limited.
It is not.

Oil is often called a "fossil" fuel; the idea being that it comes from formerly living organisms. This may have been plausible back when oil wells were drilled into the fossil layers of the earth's crust; but today, great quantities of oil are found in deeper wells that are found below the level of any fossils. How could then could oil have come from fossils, or decomposed former living matter, if it exists in rock formations far below layers of fossils - the evidence of formerly living organisms? It must not come from living matter at all!

Furthermore, if all the plants, insects and animals that ever lived were all squeezed into a massive ooze, there is no way they could have amounted to the volume of oil that has been found to date. They just would not make that much juice. On top of this, oil geochemists will admit, if pressed, that if all the oil wells ever drilled by their so - called scientific methods of divining had been drilled totally at random, they would have found as much oil with random drilling as by " educated " drilling. In other words, there is a lot of oil down there.....most everywhere. Just drill for it - and if you don't strike it, drill a little deeper.

There can only be one answer to the misinformation we have about oil. The oil men have always wanted a monopoly control, and with it, they want to charge as much money as they can for every gallon of gasoline. With this, they gross hundreds of billions of dollars per - year. They want us to believe that our present rate of oil consumption, we have possibly 20 to 30 years before we run out. They make this sound credible with their " decomposed organic matter" fable.

By bursting this bubble and pulling the plug on this scenario, we discover that petroleum is a natural organic product that is rising, in enormous quantities , from deep within the earth; with deeper drilling, as wildcatters are already doing, there will adequate oil for a long, long time, even at the present rate of consumption.

From 1956 to 1971, the number of giant oil fields more than doubled as drills go deep into the Paleozoic strata and below. Today, there is a glut on the market, and those who control oil are doing all they can to limit production in order to keep the prices very high. To do this, they get a lot of government help.

Shortly before William J. Casey became the head of the CIA, he made a speech before the American Bar Association during which he advocated " international agreements to establish commodity reserves and maintain prices". This is the kind of policy oil men like. At the same conference, Hans Heymann, one of Casey's deputies at the CIA, talked about the "enormous oil inventory building that we've had", and that " we (CIA) developed a system of institutions and codes of conduct that make it far easier for those who influence the international marketplace to exercise that influence". It is " those who influence the marketplace" who are the oil barons, and they are taking us for hundreds of billions of dollars every year - with the aid of almost all Western governments.

58. it's not crap that on Nov. 22 '63 the military was told to 'STAND DOWN'...
....the people who'd have been protecting the president in DALLAS that day were sent on other duties and a shadow team was in place instead of STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE of his department to secure the area Kennedy's motorcade was to take...you choose to ignore simple facts and discredit his knowledge about what his office duties were over this explination of what fossil fuels are exactly? What transpired that day with the standard operating procedure in the security of the president is what's paramount IMHO....same type of thing happened on 9/11 when the military was told to STAND DOWN and didn't scramble jets to intercept the planes..which yet again was STANDARD OPERATING PROCEDURE OF THE MILITARY....but wasn't implemented..and the very same people who were younger players in '63 are still in power after decades of proven illegal activities...and here we are today...that's not conjecture...it's fact...the ones who benefitted most from the death of JFK are the VERY same who're still benefitting today...OIL and MILITARY CONTRACTORS...all controlled to this day by the PENTAGON....it's quite clear you just have to focus on the money and the people who've been rakin' it in...still one in the same...can't be denied...

60. It's not important
to convince people who think otherwise. I think that anyone with an open mind will watch the Zapruder film and understand what happened. Certainly anyone who has, for example, hunted deer will say that there is remarkably little risk of having the animal you shoot being hurled in your direction as a result of the shot.

More, anyone who says that Prouty is a quack, and that you should believe in the "magic bullet" theory ..... well, you get the point. And as we know, in order to prove how "true" their theory was, the FBI had to convince two of Kennedy's best friends to LIE to the Warren Commission. Hmmmmm .... let's get the truth out by lying! Isn't that singular!

Edited on Mon Apr-18-05 10:19 AM by Jose Diablo
Got it zipped into a single file. Anybody want me to send the zip file, contact me in PM with a e-mail address and I will forward the zip file.

BTW, There are 25 chapters to the file plus an intro and contents. Some of the chapters were not on winterboys site with obvious names, though they all were on winterboys site. I think the story is complete though, from the perspective of whomever the author was of this history.

http://www.winterboy.com/dejavuintro.html

DejaVu is dedicated to the memory of Senators Paul Wellstone (D-MN), 1944-2002, and Robert F. Kennedy (D-NY), 1925-1968, who embodied American ideals and were ultimately consumed by the forces they fought hard to constrain; and to the 'Four Jersey Moms' who paid the ultimate sacrifice on 9/11 and never wavered in their search for truth- even when the Bush Gang refused them and the rest of us would have been content to ignore them.
I'd also like to express my deepest gratitude to the journalists and assorted muckrakers who did most of the hard work before I even knew there was a problem, and especially to BuzzFlash.com, who both inspired DejaVu and made it possible.

....thanks so much for the link to the rest of this...I'd only seen the outline posted here months ago..opens your eyes WIDE to the deeper..darker history of corporate greed and war...the complicity of the media and how it's been used to manipulate the masses into submission...everyone should read this document!! :hi:

72. On the HC today: "The Kennedy Assassination: Beyond Conspiracy"
Was this conspiracy skeptical Peter Jennings hosted documentary an expose or a whitewash?

From the ABC Description-

No other murder in history has produced as much speculation as that of President John F. Kennedy. Forty years after he was fatally shot, more than 80 percent of Americans still believe there was a conspiracy to kill the president and that the assassin, Lee Harvey Oswald, did not act alone. After a thorough investigation, including more than 70 interviews, ABCNEWS has produced a two-hour special that separates facts from conspiracy theories and gets to the truth. The special aired on Thursday, Nov. 20th 2003, two days before the 40th anniversary of the Kennedy assassination. "There has been so much innuendo and presumption in the conspiracy theories, that on this 40th anniversary of the president's murder, the subject cries out for review," said Peter Jennings, who anchors the special. "The truth is knowable." Peter Jennings Reporting: The Kennedy Assassination Beyond Conspiracy showcases intricate forensic technology that makes it possible to be an eyewitness to the crime of the century, allowing viewers to see precisely what happened in Dallas' Dealey Plaza on Nov. 22, 1963. Award-winning animator Dale Myers has spent the last decade creating a three-dimensional, computer-generated reconstruction of the assassination based on maps, blueprints, physical measurements, more than 500 photographs, the Zapruder film, and crime-lab and autopsy reports. His work has been independently evaluated and given the highest marks by the foremost practitioners of this type of forensic analysis. ABCNEWS conducted extensive interviews with friends and family of Oswald and his killer, Jack Ruby; former officials from the CIA, FBI, the Russian KGB and the Dallas Police; important players in the Kennedy and Johnson administrations; and participants in the various official investigations, including the Warren Commission.
