GOP Hyping Hillary
Edited on Sun Apr-17-05 02:43 PM by nirvana3240
I posted this on my blog http://teenageenthusiast.blogspot.com (check it out)

Lately, I've seen more than a few Republicans giving almost praise to Hillary Clinton. Whether it be Newt Gingrich, Chuck Hagel, Tucker Carlson or others, they say things like "I believe she will be the Democratic nominee" or "She will be extraordinarily hard to beat" or "I think she can and will win".

First of all, Hillary has never, ever said anything about running. Seemingly everyone else is saying it but she has never said a word. But its obvious that the Republicans think she will be the nominee. And now what I think a few of them are trying to do is raise the expectations. Remember before the debates last fall, The Bush campaign said that Kerry was an exceptional debater and it would be close. And the Kerry campaign basically said that Bush was one of the best debaters of our time. They were trying to raise the expectations for the other guy and lower them for their own. So when their guy does beat the other guy, it makes that guy's loss seem all that much bigger and they get that much more press out of it. The Republicans are trying to raise the hype about Hillary so that if she runs, and she doesn't get exactly 100% in the primaries.... they have an attack point. So Beware of the GOP hyping of Hillary and keep it down. Otherwise it might come back to haunt us in Januray '08.

1. Yeah. That's the opponent they're hoping for.
Beating her will make it so much more believable that the election wasn't stolen again. :)
