3. Finally, they stood firm |
|
If they let this go to the floor, he'd have been rubber stamped. They did good, they did real good.

I did my part in writing to Lugar, what good that did. Just don't take it out on me because I am a Hoosier... I never ever voted for Lugar....

4. Unlikely hero, Voinovich (R) OH |
|
He said he missed Boltons appearance, and had some reservations. Wanted to find out more. Until he spoke up, it looked like Lugar was going to push it out.

I didn't vote for him but I don't despise him completely either. Now Dewine, he's a real Douchebag.

11. Yes - let's give credit where credit is due |
|
The Dems worked hard against Lugar's attempts for force a vote but it was Voinovich's statement that he wasn't comfortable voting the nomination out of committee without investigating the new chardges that turned the tide. The Dems stood firm and resolute, talked and talked and talked until they finally convinced someone (Voinovich) that what they had to say had merit.
Biden, Dodd, Kerry, Boxer, Sarbannes and Obama are all Dems who deserve to be thanked, plus Voinovich
