What If! We wrote checks to "Howard Dean" instead of DNC? Then he
would have to cash them and the DNC/DLC would know that some of us dislike them and only want to give to Dean and don't support the rest of them? Dean would have to personally "supervise" the checks and the DNC/DLC would know we were making a "Protest Statement for Change." What do you think. I just can't write out a check for DNC at this point being so disappointed in their performance, but I totally support Dean in his new role as DNC Chairman.

3. Maybe the DNC/DLC would find a way for him to "transfer" the donations
and it will all be "Legit?" After all...they have access to the DC Powers that we all out here don't. I'd leave that up to Dean to figure out...it would be great to see the looks on the DNC faces, though , and it would give Dean a little more "presitige" to his position if folks knew we were giving to him instead of the "Party in the Wilderness."

 Ya' Think???

2. I don't have a problem with the DNC at this point--
and the DLC is almost irrelevant. If it ever got to that point, though, you could simply make out your check for Democracy for America.

5. Democracy for America is a good idea. But I don't give DLC a pass...
they are still out there working against us Progressives. Maybe you aren't a Progressive so it doesn't matter...but I will not forgive them soon...for my personal pain and those of others for 2000 Selection.

Maybe I sound vindictive...but it's that they never supported "We the People" when it counted and they didn't support their own President who was involved in founding the Group which cost us House and Senate seats and two Presidencies.

No...I do not like the DLC... I sound like Dr. Seuss...:D

4. Good idea, but...
You might consider changing it to "Howard Dean/DNC" on the "Pay To:" line. That way, the DNC gets the money, but the check shows that the sender specifically supports the new chairman.

However, do they really keep tabs on such things? Is there someone at the DNC financial department who records, for example, how many people send in such a check with Dean's name on it? If not, then how would anyone (including Dean) ever know about it or understand the message being sent?

Really, you'd probably do better to simply write a letter in support of Howard Dean to the DNC. At least then, some one who is charged with reading the mail and dealing with constituents would read it and record/act on the contents.

6. Another good idea: Howard Dean/DNC..but writing a letter a 20 yr old Aide
throws out is not something I want to do again. I had a hell of a time getting off the DNC list and I wrote letters complaining and complaining after 2000 Selection about "not counting the vote...standing up against Baker, etc." I gave those callers that solicit the same info and they just "cut me off" which pissed me more.

But, I donated to Dean, Kucinich and Kerry Campaigns, individually and used my pocket stuff to print flyers when I canvassed for Kerry...so I've given plenty but NOT TO DNC until I see true change. So...I want to give to Dean again but I don't want their grubby K-Street hands on it. Sorry...but I'm one of the "angry DU'ers who won't forget Stolen Elections 2000, '06 and 04 and how our "Dems" gave Bush every appointment he wanted even after Jim Jeffords tried to save us by switching and giving us a majority that Tom Daschle NEVER took advantage of. So I can't stand the DNC/DLC/New Democrats and will never give them even one dirty beaten penny to spend.
