3. Mentions oil companies record profits! Yahoo! |
|
And lists the precentage of the profits for several major oil companies!
It's about time someone did this. Thank you, John Kerry!
Energy policy needs to be in investing in renewal energy not in increasing the profits of the oil companies.

7. Kerry talked about this in almost every speech last year. The media chose |
|
to NOT cover energy, environmental, and economic issues at all because the Swift liars were just so much more entertaining. So was the attack on Dan Rather. So were those dang gays threatening my marriage. And look.....there's Bin Laden endorsing Kerry just days before the vote.

4. "Dubya's is not even a real band-aid..fattens the coffers of big energy" |

Edited on Wed Apr-20-05 08:57 AM by flpoljunkie
Hot damn!
We must lead the world in developing renewal energy and export this technology to the world--creating jobs here at home in the process.
Dubya's bill is "laden with handouts to corporate interests."
We have an opportunity here to create a real policy of alternative energy.

5. JK sez " What's good for prez's campaign donors is not good for economy." |
|
He sez, everything that is happening as far as gas supply and pricing was predictable and the money that was spent in giving huge corporations tax breaks so they could pull in record profits should have been put into research and development of alternative fuels.

8. New technology for energy will help lots of US problems |
|
He also talked about how creating new technologies will create jobs, let us sell the technologies overseas, and help the environment, which will help some health issues. He talked about how last oil crisis (late 70s) did change behavior for a while. Ending dependence will make the country stronger.
Parts sounded like the campaign speeches (ignored by the media) but seemed more far reaching. (I guess the advantage of the campaign is that he has thought out and articulated positions on so many things.) Yay! Kerry
