Hillary Clinton Supporters DU Group is up and running!
It is located here: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_topics&forum=334

and also, of course, down on the DU Groups page.

The mission of the DU Hillary Clinton Supporters Group is to discuss the life, career, and accomplishments of Senator Hillary Rodham Clinton; to discuss her upcoming Senate re-election campaign and future political prospects; to provide a home-base for those wishing to combat the smear campaign against her and her husband; and to discuss media articles about Senator Clinton. Commenting in the group does not signal an endorsement of her in any upcoming primaries or general elections.

3. She's not my candidate
But she is a great Democrat and should she win the nomination, I would be right at her back.

4. I voted for Hillary
Even though I don't like some of what she has done lately, I would still vote for her over any Republican running, for Senate or for President.

8. You are not addressing me, but I will answer the question too.

Hillary is not "it" for me. I have reservations about her votes in some matters. But I also feel she is a very powerful politician and a powerful speaker. She might be smarter than her husband. I don't believe she is just ambition with no heart. Look at her child and read her books. She is a fine person with whom I disagree on some important votes.
I also feel that it is time to seriously consider a female for the top job. No matter what else people think of HC, they can't not take her seriously.
Still the villainization of her by the left gets out of hand here. So I support the idea of a group for her and I will seriously consider supporting her in 2008 if she decides to run.
She is not even my first choice. But I don't think that person will ever run for President again.

12. For most of us, its more electability than ideology that's worrying
about Hillary.

It's really a shame, as she's an impressive person with a lot of the right stuff. Too bad it stuck -- all that stinking dreck the Republicans threw at her, I mean. I'm not sure it can be laundered out.
