Clinton beats Bush by double digits in Democracy Corps poll
There are a number of interesting poll results at the link. This one made me smile.....

snip>
Now I'd like you to imagine that the Constitution is changed and there is no limit on the number of
terms a President can serve. Thinking about the 2008 election for president, if the election for president
were held today and the candidates were Democrat Bill Clinton and Republican George W. Bush, for
whom would you vote -- Democrat Bill Clinton or Republican George W. Bush?
...
Total Democrat Bill Clinton........................................................53
Total Republican George W. Bush.............................................43

Voters Looking for Change in Direction

A new strategy memo from James Carville and Stan Greenberg says voters "have turned against the Republicans’ priorities and major policy initiatives, the arrogance and style of governance, and complacency before the country’s major problems. Voters are poised to turn against the leaders of the 'Washington mess.'"

A companion poll finds President Bush and the Republican Congress have dropped "to the lowest point of their governance, though voters have not yet turned to the Democrats as an instrument of change."

3. Did anybody read through the entire poll? It looks very good
for Dems except for one stat that jumps off the page and slaps you in the face.

Has anyone else looked through it?

4. 60% oppose "personal" accounts
Even *with* the manipulated language :)

As you may know, President Bush has proposed a plan to strengthen Social Security
allowing workers to establish personal accounts to invest a portion of their Social Security contributions
in the stock market. Do you favor or oppose Bush's proposal?

6. I don't know how to copy and paste in Adobe. This was the one
I was talking about:

Security and Keeping People Safe: Dems 29/ Rep 52 = Democrats are down by 23 points in that area.

That may not hurt us in 2006 but it is a killer in Presidential races.

5. The clouds could part and George W. Bush could float down...
...on a ray of sunlight and still lose to Bill Clinton.

7. If this did happen...
I doubt it would change much. In the eyes of *'s followers, he already does this.
