Bush Kisses Man In Dress, Holds His Hand, They Walk Down Flowery Path
Edited on Mon Apr-25-05 12:14 PM by norml
We need photos of Dubya kissing the Crown Prince, and walking hand in hand with him down the flowery path. I just saw the video on Fox News (Fakes News), and it's something every Bush supporter should see. All I've found so far online is the photo with this story.

By JENNIFER LOVEN Associated Press Writer
The Associated Press

CRAWFORD, Texas Apr 25, 2005 — President Bush, meeting Monday with Saudi Arabia's Crown Prince Abdullah, was pressing that Mideast nation to pump more crude oil to ease gas prices at the pump.

"The crown prince understands that it is very important … to make sure that prices are reasonable," Bush told reporters before the Saudi leader arrived at his Texas ranch. "High oil prices will damage markets. He knows that. We'll talk about his country's capacity."

But the president then pivoted to the domestic situation. He said Congress needs to pass a comprehensive energy strategy. "Now is the time," Bush said.

Bush's goal of spreading democracy across the Arab world also faces a difficult test with Saudi Arabia, a longtime ally ruled by absolute monarchy. Traditionally Bush holds news conferences with visiting foreign leaders, but there will be none during this visit because Abdullah rarely talks with reporters.

12. They're cooking up ways to drive the price of oil even higher.
Probably by invading Iran, in order to take production from the fourth largest reserve of oil off the market.

4. Nothing is wrong with men wearing dresses.
It's the kissing Bush I was offended about. I find any male or female to kiss him repulsive. (Condi and Shrub kissing pictures give me constant heeby jeebies!)

6. Nothing at all. I think we should play this example of Bush's openness

for his base. I think it's great for Dubya to show that he is not afraid to show his more sensitive side, when it comes to his special Saudi friend. With some looking, we could probably do a whole Bush kissing Saudis series. That would be great!

7. Cheney looks a bit jealous of the hand holding. Doesn't he?
Edited on Mon Apr-25-05 12:27 PM by Verve
The man walking with Cheney looks like he's deliberately putting his hand in his pocket so that Cheney doesn't get any ideas. Look how Cheney has his hand down waiting for the opportune time to grab the man's hand. Poor Cheney.

9. Excellent!
I'd like to see some stills from the Fox News clip. They were embarrassingly close. The Bush/Saudi connection is their greatest vulnerability. Showing more photos of Bush kissing these number one funders of terrorism, and his business partners, might be helpful.

14. I came across a picture of Dubya and the Saudi Prince walking
hand in hand -- found a better closeup on Yahoo

Since I remembered being told by a Muslem years ago about the right hand being "clean" and the left being considered "unclean" and used for bodily functions -- I was curious as to why the Prince was holding Dubya's left hand with his right -- as this would be corrupting. So, I did some websearching.

Touching, long handshakes, grasped elbows, even walking hand in hand by two males is common place in the Arab world. A considerable number of Arabs touch more between the same sex, to show liking--not sex. They hold hands, hug each other, kiss if close friends. As Arab customs and behavior condones the outward display of affection between male friends, one may see Arab men, even officials and military officers, holding hands as they walk together or otherwise converse with one another. If an individual Arab does not touch you, he does not like you--or he may be trying to restrain himself because you are not used to being touched. A full body embrace, accompanied with hugging, should not be initiated until you are sure that the Arab is a close friend. If the Arab initiates it, participate and consider yourself honored and/or accepted. Contact between the opposite sex in public is considered close to obscene.

So, it would appear that the Prince really likes Dubya.
