Who will be the fallguy for the latest Gannon episode?
After reading the threads and links yesterday, I wondered who will take the fall. Obviously, standard procedure was not followed: Gannon was able to come and go many times and not be signed in or out. Putting aside “why” he was there (and I suspect there are truly distrubing reasons), how will the discrepancies be explained?

Will some Secrete Service agent be accused of lax attention to duty and reprimanded? Will some underling in the administration (an aide to a secretary to an aide to an official) be singled out at sacrificed?

How will the Bushistas explain this? Perhaps I'm naive, but I can't see the Corporate Media completely ignoring this one...

Just how will the apparent freedom this remora* had in entering and exiting the White House be addressed?

1. My guess is . . .
. . . Scott McClellan.

2. Gasp!
Oh wait, no, never mind, you said sucking disk.

(With Gannon/Guckert, the one-liners are so darned easy.)

3. I respect your optimism -
asking, "how will this be addressed" is a very understandable reaction. Unfortunately, I'm afraid there will be as little reaction to this as possible.

No one will talk about it. McClellan might retire in a couple months to spend more time with his, 'family'. Guckert might grow despondant and commit suicide,

But you don't think anyone will actually, publicly brought to account, do you? That is _sooooo_ reality-based.

4. They don't do sacrifice.
To fire someone would assume fallibility. Can't have that, right Rumsfeld, Tenet, Rice, etc., etc.? No, they'll try to blame it on the Secret Service, if they get any heat at all.

6. Unfortunately with this administration probably no one.
Those evil jerks get away with everything else. Their base and the media save their outrage when the Democrats are in office.
