Bush said he wants to make Nuclear Power Plants Safer... |
|
for investors!
I can't believe he actually said that. As if it's OK if we have a plutonium spill, but god forbid investors should lose money.
Does anyone really believe that a good use of our tax dollars is to underwrite risk for those who would invest in nuclear power plants? Shouldn't we be using our tax dollars to protect our citizens and the air, water, and soil that our children grow up in?

3. He's already done that...fast-tracked N-plant approval |
|
I believe this passed last year, under Cheney's guidance. Cheney is a huge beneficiary to all this N-Plant talk. He has managed to pass new regulations which call for safety inspections only AFTER a new plant is completed, at which point any defects must corrected only after a cost-benefit analysis has determined that any such corrections would not prove to be financial burden on the N-Plant operators or construction companies.
I swear to god. Does anybody know if this actually passed? I know it was presented, mostly secretly. Maybe it is part of Bush "energy bill."

4. He can't even SAY Nuclear. I doubt he has any understanding of |
|
nuclear safety. If it doesn't affect his business friends, that concern won't even be a blip on his radar screen...
