They're Popping Up Everywhere
We see more and more of them: great candidates committed to fiscal responsibility and grassroots democracy. Outside the Washington Beltway—working in state government, city halls, and local offices—a fresh generation of leaders is taking shape. They set examples that Washington
should watch ... and follow.

We just added three of these new faces to the DFA-List, and they're worth getting to know. Meet them today:

http://www.democracyforamerica.com/dfa-list
R.T. Ryback for Mayor of Minneapolis
http://www.rtformayor.com

http://www.colleencondon.com
Colleen Condon for County Council
Charleston, South Carolina

http://www.shirleyfranklin.com
Shirley Franklin for Mayor
Atlanta, Georgia

We support real leaders and celebrate their accomplishments. That's why we have the DFA-List. But that support is only as good as you make it. Visit these candidates' websites, and help in any way you can.

You can read about other candidates on the DFA-List here:

Sincerely,
Jim Dean

P.S. Recommend your favorite socially progressive, fiscally responsible
local candidate here:

Can you say Senator Franklin? There, I knew you could. :)

She is a tremendous asset to Atlanta and to the state of Georgia!

4. Awesome!
I wish DFA could help a local democratic Congressman we have who runs all the time. This last election he did a little better but he's up against a really popular republican so go figure.

5. RT is my mayor.
I will always adore him for providing a police escort for our anti war rallies. It was wonderful having the police on OUR side. RT is a really good guy. :-)

8. It's Rybak, not Ryback

This is helpful for RT, as he faces an intraparty challenge for the Mpls DFL endorsement. The city convention is May 14th at Augsburg.
