Poll question: Who Was the Best President To Claim Texas as His Home |
|
I put "Claim Texas" since both Poppy and Chimpy are not real Texans.

Namely Eisenhower, who was born in Dennison, TX. LBJ would have been a great president if he hadn't gotten bogged down in Viet Nam.

I still think LBJ was an above average president--he did too many great things domestically

He just couldn't see that Vietnam was a non-starter from the git-go.
Apparently the Presidents who claim Texas as their home had a blind spot in that old war department ... I don't include Ike, as he called Abilene KS home, despite his being born in TX.
