Nora O'Donnell On The Imus Show.... |
|
...yesterday morning described the news conference, with the White House spin, as a "Master Stroke!"
After viewing this debacle, that by comparison, made Reagan appear to be a cognitive genius, the only appreciable strokes I noticed were the ones viewers were experiencing!

2. All the msnbc ho hos... |
|
were touting that line. Those of us living in the reality-based community, saw a blithering idiot, asking us all to not believe our lying eyes. Masterstroke? Yeah sure, a master stroking of the facts, spinning that joke of a president, as someone that is competent.

"jocular" and "clearly in charge of the agenda"
I didn't see the fuckface talk last night, but that's what the talking heads said about it, so it must be true.....right?, er ,well

5. The scheduling of it was a masterstroke. On the opening night of |
|
"sweeps", on the most-watched night of the week. It was genius. The actual news conference, though, was a disaster. So perhaps it was good that lots of viewers watched it.

6. Bush needs to be propped up by MSM |
|
so "we" can "win the war" and continue "globalization" and eye-popping profits continue while wages stagnate.
Telecom, oil, defense, insurance, securities. It's all the same racket.

what they're saying? Are we watching the same person? Between the distracting eyeshadow and the incoherence, I mean, gawd, I just don't get it. What are these people looking at?

8. Would Bush be in office today if the news media STUCK TO FACTS |
|
and actually did research and reported the truth to the American people?
The media is complicit in keeping this regime propped up and in the promotion of the fascist takeover of this nation.

10. Norah smiles like an adoring school girl... |
|
..when she reports from the White House. She must really have the hots for Dubya. When she talks about the Dems..she seems almost disgusted. At least that is my take..

They must get their collective orders from someone!
The question is..how do we change that? How do we as Democrats get the message through that the airwaves have been over taken by corporatewhores?

13. Hate to burst everyone's bubble |
|
but it's not so black and white re: Norah. Norah was the one who gave * heat over the Mission Accomplished banner, reviving the story last summer, and I've seen her play both sides before.
I have to defend her, since we went to school together, and she is good people. I'm not saying I agree with her analysis this morning (at all in fact), but for the most part, she has seemed far more impartial than most when dealing with Bushco.

14. The original statement was obviously about the timing of the |
|
press conference, since she made it yesterday morning, and I think she was right. Other posters have not specifically said she commented on the actual outcome of the conference.

I missed the yesterday morning part. I should read more carefully before making sweeping generalizations of my own.

to outrage fatigue. And here's a link to an article that may prove Ms. O'Donnell's statement was correct: http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=show_mesg&forum=102&topic_id=1433391&mesg_id=1433391Edited to add: Some others on this thread also may have read too quickly.
