The freepers are delusional about the NUKULAR option! |
|
"To those that are concerned with "What will happen if we are out of power ten or fifteen years from now? What then? Well the answer is, DON'T GET OUT OF POWER 10-15 YEARS FROM NOW! Provide a platform of traditional, rational american values, coupled with pro-business economics and it will not be a problem. The conservatives could be in power for the next 100 years if we keep our heads on straight. Any deviation is our fault."

1. Also.. they are VERY delusional if their gods are keeping their powers in. |
|
2006 and 2008.
That's when Democratic majority will take over and solidify their majorities for 100+ years to come. Neo-cons can take their fascist crapzola and go form their own country, somewhere in Idaho.
(Apologies to Idahan Dems that are unfortuantely living there)

3. But are they determined to stack the courts enough between |
|
now and 2006/2008 with judges that would uphold their agenda (not to mention any voting issues) that they're willing to sacrifice seats now?
Sometimes, in chess, you give up a Rook (re-elected every 2-6 years) for a Queen (appointed for life). Some of these folks up for nomination are not senior jurists, they're in their 40's. Which puts them on the bench for potentially 50 years. Is it worth it to them to lose the House? Thinking for certain that they'll be able to regain it (or knowing they can't lose it ala Diebold).

2. It's consistent with IdiotKing's "We won't be around" |
|
comment when asked about how history will judge him. They are totally convinced that they're going to rule forever, or at least until they get raptured away ... Delusional is too mild a word for it.

4. This is why, when we get back in power... |
|
we forget about compromise and do what we have to do. Cram it down their throats. None of this bipartisan shit.

We need our own version of KKKarl and the resolve to let him use his dirty tricks. We need to even the playing field, instead of hiding our heads in the sand and hoping that we can win by taking the high road every time.

8. Who cares about evening the playing field |
|
We need to beat them so bad that the mere implication that someone is conservative is equivalent to calling them a nazi. It must be made clear that society has no need for conservatives, they have never and will never do a damn thing to make the world a better place.

7. The ideologues' solution to failure of their ideology |
|
is always: intensify it further! Repeat it all, just harder!
What a joke. "A platform of traditional, rational values" is an oxymoron. They're running on willpower at this point, not rationality. Desire, not reality. Reality can be denied...but after a while it shows up and takes a big chunk out of the asses of those who denied it.

9. Well, they have a point |
|
I think that if they can successfully get rid of the fillabuster and succede in completely reshaping the Judicial system into a bunch of noeconservative GOP loyalists, then they may in fact never be out of power again.

the way things are going, all the money and wealth will be in repig hands, so that we Democrats have NO money to contribute to our candidates, and we'll be dead politically and dying LITERALLY! Take away our jobs, pensions, social security and send our kids to Iraq and Afghanistan and Iran and North Korea and Syria and who knows where else, and we are totally done for!
