What we REALLY need for the "Bush Memo: Intelligence is Fixed" story is "Cheney's Gay Daughter" level coverage in the media.

The CNN story was a true joy, but what is needed is "Cheney's Gay Daughter" level coverage, where it is all that everyone on every station is talking about for days and days.

In my idealist pipe-dreams, I would hope for "Runaway Bride" level coverage, but I know that that's just too unrealistic for a story about mere written proof that the leader of the free world deliberately lied and falsified national security documents to bring about a war of choice that has cost thousands of lives and hundreds of billions of dollars.

1. Kerry, Dean, Hillary, Reid, Obama could make this a page 1 story.
But they have yet to utter a single sentence concerning the matter.

2. Don't those guys know about the "talking points" thingy?
You know, where everyone brings up the same point at different times on different shows and creates the perception that it IS what is going on and THIS is how EVERYONE sees it.

6. Shoot- they could just MENTION it. Top DEMs act like it does not exist.
They dont even have to come down on one side or the other- just BRING IT UP-

"You know, a lot of people are concerened about this memo- it raises a lot of questions- I wonder why the Republcans in charge are sweeping this under the rug instead of investigating this...Is it possible they are hiding somthing?...You media people are not covering this very much- I'll bet your viewers want to know more about this..."

3. If that were the case, then the MSM wouldn't be in the GOP's pocket...
unfortunately, they are, so it's not the case. I know that's not the answer to the question you were asking, but it is the answer to problem we are facing.

4. But the thing is, Kerry said, "Cheney's Lesbian Daughter" on the TV
and that was all they could talk about for days and days.

5. What if the faked intel got the same level of coverage as the fake finger
The story about the woman who allegedly found a finger in her chili at Wendy's got lots of coverage, with repeated updates and follow-up for weeks.

Imagine if the memo that showed that Bush faked the intelligence to get us into the Iraq war were to get the same level of coverage as the 'fake finger in the chili' story?

How do journalists working in the corporate news media live with themselves? Their profession has become a joke.
