Poll question: Which Dem senator you think can break ranks on the fillibuster?
I know Reid says all the dem senators are united. And it better be true. But if Frist has the votes, then there is a possibility that some democrats might break ranks and vote with the republicans.

I know it is not likely to happen but you can use this thread and place your bets here.

I chose Joe-mentum and go all in.

1. None.
It would be a death sentence. There would be a huge grassroots campaign within the party to remove them next primary.

Frist is full of shit.

16. He has not replied to a single one of my many emails, faxes,
or letters I sent him on this issue. I usually get a reply.
That makes me wonder if he is planning on screwing us.

14. That makes more sense. McCain left his options open,
but appears to support the filibuster rule.

19. McCain wants to keep the filibuster
Though by his own admission, it's only because he believes Republicans won't always be in the majority.

Most sensible thing he's said since 2000, actually.

For once the Dems seems united and Reid has stacked too much of his personal reputation on this that it aint going to happen (contrarely to Bolton or SS).

If it did happen, I would say Ben Nelson, because for once, Lieberman has not been wavering on the issue.

this is a power issue, and these guys dig power. The ones above you mentioned couldn't give a shit about the little people, but when it comes to their rights they're going to fight for it.

but I'd guess Nelson (Florida) is feeling a lot of heat from Jebster, so that would be my guess.

17. Why isn't Joe PNAC Biden on the list?
He loves the neocon agenda. He loves Clarence Thomas. Why would he care about filibusters?

20. I chose Bill Nelson because he is my Senator
and he disappointed me to tears with the Ohio election fraud thing. He spent the entire summer last year pounding his chest about being the front line democrat to uphold voter rights, and then when the time came for him to step up to the plate, he wimped out. I hope I'm wrong. But I hope someone reads this pole to him so he will know that his feet are being held to the fire.

And BTW,I heard McCain on this subject this morning on AAR, and he blamed the dems for being obstructionists, and it sure didn't sound to me like he was going to vote on our side.
