Apathy, Anger, and The Demise Of Liberty
It's been some time since I last posted on DU. After the post election quagmire I decided to take a break from politics in general in order to gain some perspective. I've come to a conclusion in the midst of my research concerning much of the good people people who post here on DU: Our rhetoric is failing us as much as our leaders. In my quest for irrefutable facts to present to conservatives and liberals alike, I have come across some truly disturbing evidence that lends more toward conspiracy than so called reasonable political dialouge. Our spineless representatives are in fact less hapless and more sinister than I had previously thought. Our beloved Democratic Party has failed us so tremendously on such a fundamental level that it is this man's beleif that we either infliltrate it ourselves or abandon all support. Holding our breath, as we have for nearly five years now, in hopes that one day our Democratic leaders would one day seize the floor of democracy back from those who oppose liberty has indeed led to our suffocation. As we wait for the Republican war machine to stumble upon itself and relenquish it's power, we engauge in ideas and plots in hopes that we can bring about change. However, as previously stated, our rhetoric is failing us. Apathy and cynicism have taken hold of us as we watch our freedom crumble. Now is a time for anger. Anger is the jet-fuel of revolution. Imputence the engine. If anything is to change I suggest organization and abandonment of the failed structure. Our politicians do not represent us. Even the Democrats have been ubiquitously corrupted and bought out. It begins with self education in the truth. Learn the history and understand the present. I appeal to those who simply believe in freedom, even at the expense of capitalism. At its root, liberalism comes from liberty, soes it not? Individuals forge their own, not representatives. Our representative government has failed us. Seek the truth and organize. Abandon the structure or take it over. Or give up. But take action because nothing is getting better on its own. I've included a few outlets for information many of you who read this already know. No big deal, it's for those who don't. I don't endorse everything stated hereafter, it's for you to decide. But if you're paying attention, you're angry. Anger leads to action. Thanks for listening and for not posting snotty responses, I know this one was a bit over the top but I'm feeling peticularly spirited so let's not criticize one another. Thank you.

2. I believe this
http://www.guardian.co.uk/usa/story/0,12271,1312540,00....

story - prescott's spanking @ the hands of 1942's under the Trading with the Enemy act. During a democratic administration - Roosevelt - Truman leading the investigative committee - ah, the family lore fireside stories of revenge that must have been repeated - is the hate that drives the BFEE.
