How I feel about *'s staged dog and pony shows

President George W. Bush discusses Strengthening Social Security at the Milwaukee Art Museum in Milwaukee, Wis., Thursday, May 19, 2005. "The job of the President is to confront problems and not pass those problems on to another President,. . ." said the President. "And I realize if we don't act, we're liable to saddle a younger generation of Americans with an 18-percent payroll tax to make good for the promises that you've made for me. And that's not fair, and that's not right." White House photo by Paul Morse

2. Haven't you heard
His shit doesn't stink. According to Lewis Black, it comes out crystalized and just vaporizes.

3. is he still flogging that dead horse?
I guess they have to keep the boy busy with his failed social security scam, since he doesn't seem to have a lot of other things to do - like, for instance, being notified when DC is under a red alert. This is probably the only thing they trust him to play president on, even if it is a lost cause.

5. I'm convinced
that as long as he has a majority in the House and Senate, this horse is not dead . He doesn't care that nobody wants his privatization scheme....he's going to do it anyway and he'll threaten, bribe and blackmail his way through it.

I thought it was stupid and useless for him to continue his "tour" but he's doing it for a reason.....the reason is he's going to do his plan come hell or high water.....

8. I'm a little more optimistic
I can't imagine many Republicans putting their seats on the line for an increasingly unpopular lame duck president. This plan is a stinker with the voting public and they know it - and they care more about getting re-elected than they do anything else.

7. No one's responded to those photos yet. Are we showing our age?
I remember them well. Very well indeed.
