Santorum on Senate floor quotes Hitler
Edited on Fri May-20-05 02:44 PM by paineinthearse
Received by email from Tom McMahon, Executive Director, Democratic National Committee. His source was http://www.talkingpointsmemo.com/archives/week_2005_05_15.php#005715

Sen. Rick Santorum of Pennsylvania, Republican Whip, on the Senate floor May 19, 2005: "... the audacity of some members to stand up and say, how dare you break this rule. It's the equivalent of Adolf Hitler in 1942 saying, 'I'm in Paris. How dare you invade me. How dare you bomb my city? It's mine.'"

1. Santorum broke Godwin's Law!
Therefore, his argument is lost.

10. LOL
Somehow, that law seems especially relevant this time around.

4. This guy's themesong should be "Sanitarium" Metallica's ode to
Rick Santorum. They should play it whenever he steps up to the mic.

Seriously, this whiny bastard need look no further then himself if he wants to find a carpetbagger who doesn't want to play by the rules, which is what he says implicitly and what Hitler says out right. The two certainly agree there.

He could save the time and effort hiding his own doublespeak behind such wildly misplaced quotes. What a lunatic.

5. Santorum has no integrity, no sense of shame.
And talk about the pot calling the kettle black.

6. Is it just me, or does Santorum's argument make absolutely NO sense?
The Hitler allusion is completely weird here. The analogy makes no sense.

7. Santorum is another example of contemptable Republican idiots
As I listened to Santorum trying to make the analogy between Democrats and Hitler it occurred to me; "This guy has a loose wheel on his cart." But did it surprise me? No... Did it infuriate me? Yes. Did I write him an email telling him what I thought about him and the way he is driving his political car off into the ditch? You bet I did.

Rat fucker.

Let's blame federal judges for all of the evil that goes on... Hell, they are already sitting ducks. This just adds more fuel to the fire and some wing-nut will load his Walter PPK, jump into his HUMMER, drive over to an offending judge who once looked wrong at him and blow him away. That is the danger with these sort of remarks and the abuse of power.

People in political offices, just as lawyers and other officers of the court should and are supposed to be held to a higher standard. Santorum has stepped off the floor of the Senate and into the latrine. What a bigot.

9. I object.
Your use of the term "rat fucker" infers that the rat is a willing participant in the fuck. I personally can't believe that any self-respecting, freedom-loving American rat would willingly fuck a guy named after "santorum", which, as we all know, is that frothy mixture of lube and fecal matter that is sometimes the by-product of anal sex.

Therefore, the more correct term might be "rat rapist."

13. Bloody Hell
It's unbelievable that they're able to get away with this!! Imagine if a Democrat had said this... remember the Bush/Hitler video and the complete shitstorm the RNC kicked up?!?! Eemember Max Cleveland and Osama... from a Vietnam veteran that lost three limbs for his country and personally endorsed by Bush's ex-best friend Zell Miller?
Democrats really need to shove this up his ass in 2006.

14. Did he get away with this??
because he has alot of nerve doing this after making a fuss when Sen. Byrd pointed that the Republicans's actions mirrored those of the Nazis a few months ago, Oh wait...I forgot he can say whatever he can...he's a republican and the press won't make a big deal out of it, and neither will anyone in congress, they only pick on Democrats...
