Limbaugh lies about Barbara Boxer
From www.wonkette.com:

Now, for a moment of racial enlightenment, we turn to Rush Limbaugh:

"I was on the first cup of coffee and we were talking about this incredible sight yesterday of Barbara Boxer lecturing Judge Janice Rogers Brown. Here's this white, wealthy, elitist liberal from San Francisco -- I think she's actually from Marin -- lecturing a black daughter of sharecroppers who has risen on her own to become a member of the California Supreme Court, Janice Rogers Brown."

See, Rush doesn't judge people on the color of their color. He judges people on the content of their color. Or something like that. Just for the record, though, Boxer grew up in a "lower-middle-class" neighborhood in that part of Marin also known as Brooklyn, New York. And at some point in Rogers Brown's youth -- details are sketchy -- her dad joined the Air Force. Then, in 1977, Rogers Brown graduated from law school and became a deputy counsel for the California State Legislature. So presumably she's been living a middle-class life or better for at least, oh, thirty years or so. Still, you've gotta hand it to Rush. A vision of America where a 56-year-old woman who's held important, high-powered jobs for nearly three decades can grow up to become "a black daughter of sharecroppers"? That's pretty inspiring. — GREG BEATO

and is doing some early slamming.

12. Rush Lie about the Paul Wellstone memorial mourners..."Show me where
Edited on Fri May-20-05 05:16 PM by Sparkman
the grief was. Where was the grief? Where were the tears? Where was the mnourning? Where was the memorial service? There wasn't any of this."
Here's the great compasionate conservative, Rush L., completely mischaracterizing the Oct 29, '02 memorial service, which lasted over 3 hours, almost the entire time devoted to family and friends' testimonials about Paul, Sheila and Maria Wellstone, three other associates and the pilots.
Rush didn't even attend, or do his homework, spewing lie after lie.
As always, he capitalized on the short snippets of politics carried by the MSM, saying it was a political rally, just because of the 10 minutes of unplanned politics they tolerated on the platform.
Rush is without conscience or integrity.

3. I know that Limbaugh is
scum but I'm addicted to Vicodin, not that I have a choice I have Peripheral Neuropathy and will be on it for the rest of my life but whenever I see somebody, anybody beat down because of this it makes me feel inferior. I think I function normally even though I take 4 10/325 Vicodins a day. Maybe I'm being too sensitive.

5. I have chronic pain, too
You and Rush are worlds apart, man. He takes it because he is addicted to the high. You take it because you need it to function.

btw-I've found that Reiki has really helped me deal with it, even though yoga and other meditation techniques didn't. Where do u live?

16. I live in the Chicago
area. What is Reiki? I'll try anything! They tried all kinds of new procedures on me but my insurance stopped paying for them. None of them worked anyway and I got tired of being poked, probed, cut, and stitched.

21. Reiki is a japanese healing technique
uses chi energy (the life-energy martial arts are based on) to help the body heal. You can have people do it on you, or you can learn to do it yourself.

I have fibromyalgia, so I can't say if it will work for your problems. However, it seems you have run out of choices in traditional medicine.

The problem is that there are alot of people who say they know reiki but don't have much talent for it. You have to find a true healer to get the full effect. My teacher is like a freaking X-man! She seriously has superhuman powers! I'll ask her if she knows anyone good in Chicago. In the meanwhile, you might try just looking around in the alternative medicine circles, asking your physical therapist etc. Word of mouth is usually a good way to find out who the real healers are.

24. Reiki is great
I've used it on myself and also for other people (mainly other people). They always tell me they can feel it work. It's really great once you learn how to use it. It can be used for spiritual or physical needs.

23. He does not!
He takes vicodin to kill the pain of his smelly, hairy, pus-laden pilonidal cyst. You should be so brave to face something so disabling without medication.

8. You are being too sensitive, yes.
A person with peripheral neuropathy is not taking Vicodin for the fun of it.

He can't imagine it being any other way, not even when he's off drugs.

7. He is always like that. That's why he had a problem with McNabb
He didn't see a decent QB. He only saw a black QB. He doesn't see a judge from Ca. He only sees another black person who happens to be a judge from Ca. it is why any criticism about any person of color from the right be it Rice or Gonzales becomes a race card for them. It almost like ownership for the right for people of color. They only see them by their skin and treat them accordingly.

15. Looks like you have the brash antagonist
narrowed down to his real status as one of the chief advance operatives for the BFEE. I first learned about his schtick in '92. We both claim Missouri as our native state (Yikes!) That's 'bout where the connection ends.

Have ya heard about the Evanston High School students who were rightfully ticked off recently. Seems RL heard that they were heavy into multiculturalism and scoffed at them condesendingly. The students reponse was to challenge him to a debate. No word yet with his acceptance/rejection of the verbal duel.

Sorry, don't have a link, but I think I initially found it on the chicago Tribune or Sun-Times. The printout is buried on my desk somewhere :~D

Hope he doesn't disappoint a Windy City school full of excellent representatives of America's youth.

Maybe they could petition Ted Nugent for a replacement; I'll assume that the formerly Motor City (now certified Texan) resident would oblige; quite similar ballpark.

14. Here's an interesting thought...
"Here's this white, wealthy, elitist...lecturing a black daughter of sharecroppers"

Perhaps the next time President Bush tells African-Americans how bad Social Security is for them, someone should call Rush and ask what he thinks.

18. Barbara Boxer,
Hot Tubs, Mountain Biking, John Walker Lindh, Metallica, Star Wars, "420", Tupac Shakur, the Greater Sandplover, "Got Milk?"..... Marin's finest.

Rush Limbaugh.... Rio Linda's finest.

Furthermore, this "black daughter of sharecroppers" thing brings to mind nothing other than the little girl from Gone With The Wind. Appalling.

As the old (slightly racist) joke goes, "Only in America can a poor black kid grow up to be a rich white man and marry Elvis Presley's daughter..."
