Is George Bush a Liar?
Read the article and all the questions.

Perhaps asking some rhetorical questions might clarify the issue of whether Bush deliberately lies, makes simple but good-hearted mistakes, and is an innocent person who is deceived by bad people, or follows advice from his God.

Did Bush make war on Iraq in order to avenge an attempt on the life of his father?

Did Bush make war on Iraq because he showed that Iraq was involved in the 9/11 destruction of the Twin Towers and Pentagon?

Did Bush make war on Iraq because he showed that Saddam Hussein of Iraq was the mastermind behind the 9/11 disaster, or, at the very least, was an accomplice or patron of Osama bin Laden?

Is the Pope Catholic?

There is no truer statement than: George Bush is a liar.

3. Very true questions . with merit
Did Bush use emotional religious rhetoric, and the promise of supporting Christian domination, to persuade his True Believer supporters to give him carte blanche power, without any restraint?
...
Did Bush understand that the world believes he is corrupt because billions of dollars have disappeared without a trace into his military and industrial friend’s pockets?

...

mine:
Does gwb give a shit that the whole world can see through his masquerade?

4. The world can see through it, but why are 46% of the people
still believing all the bullshit? That blows me away. Time after time the lies are shown and they still go on saying it ain't so. What kind of hold do the bushco's have over some people to keep the fairytale alive?

7. Don't believe those numbers.
Polls are skewed. Only a quarter of our population actually believed in him enough to vote for him (if you believe there was no fraud - and I don't). There are a group of fundies that have a big stake in him, they depend on him to get RWnuts on the supreme court. They put up with anything else. For the fundies the only sense of right and wrong is abortion - poor misguided people. They see this issue as gods battle because for 30 years preachers have used that as the dividing line to build their empires.

6. He doesn't have a sense of the truth.

He never has had to face the real world. Grew up with parents providing everything he ever needed. Had a dad that was head of the CIA (the number one lieing organization in the world). Never had to face concequenses of actions. Just did what he wanted and made up the 'truth' to fit. That is what he knows. He is not a smart guy, but he is not the bumbling idiot we see either. Bumbling idiot gets away with more than a smart guy.

8. I think he may believe his own lies.
He is deluded and sheltered, and surrounded by Yes-men who create a customized false reality for him. His is so dim he may believe what he says.

10. If there's really 42% that believe him...
It's because they're purposely shutting out hearing or seeing the truth.
