Republicans must feel like they've got a thumb in the dike... |
|
and that it's about to burst and flush them away at any moment.
Today the Minneapolis Star Tribune and the Baltimore Sun each condemned the LIES of this Administration. Yes! Our major newspapers have finally begun to use the L word.
Here's to my brave fellow countrymen who gave EVERYTHING that I might have the liberty to come onto this board and condemn an Administration that dishonestly added more names for us to grieve.

1. Well, lets all hope the damn breaks soon! |

I must say, there sure are a whole lot of balls in the air right now! If they all fall at the same time, you might not hear a Pub voice for a very long time!

7. That'd be fine with me. Speaking just for myself, I've heard enough from |

them to last me several lifetimes.

2. Can you give us some quotes? |
|
Maybe you saw this in the print versions. I'm at the Star web site and don't see any of this. So, give with some details!

Here's the second paragraph from the Star and it goes on to talk about The Downing Street Memo in the next paragraph:
"In exchange for our uniformed young people's willingness to offer the gift of their lives, civilian Americans owe them something important: It is our duty to ensure that they never are called to make that sacrifice unless it is truly necessary for the security of the country. In the case of Iraq, the American public has failed them; we did not prevent the Bush administration from spending their blood in an unnecessary war based on contrived concerns about Iraq's weapons of mass destruction. President Bush and those around him lied, and the rest of us let them. Harsh? Yes. True? Also yes. Perhaps it happened because Americans, understandably, don't expect untruths from those in power. But that works better as an explanation than as an excuse."

Wow. Just wow. Although the two articles don't mention anything earth shattering that hasn't already been kicked about a thousand times here on DU, these are the first examples I've seen of MSM drawing these conclusions. And on Memorial Day!
