I love the 'Hate Mailbag', I hate it not.....
I can't make up my mind. I really do like the 'Mail Bag', but....
Ok, it's entertaining, for sure, but when I've finished reading the rants contained therein I feel as though I've just spent an eight hour day deciphering code, what with the misspellings, sentence fragments, missplaced prepositions, and my futile search for a complete thought.
It then follows that I have to pop two or three ibuprofen and lie down as a result of the headache that is sure to follow.
I know, I know....this makes me elitist in the eyes of the neonuts, but I actually just care enough about my point of view to not have the distraction of too many grammatical errors.
It does take a little effort, especially for someone like me who only has a high school education, and I still make plenty of mistakes.
But, to be honost and not seem arragont, I believe if we're going to talk about important issues of Congerss, we democrates, as an orginsation, should do our best to gaurantee we will at least use a spell checker.
That should give us a quited opposition.
(Irritat'n, ain't it?)

1. Yeah , but I like it that way...
Being the liberal elitist I am, I love wallowing in the callow ignorance of my political opponents. Oh, how terribly droll!

Kidding aside, I can't believe you take these things at all seriously, dude! C'mon, you can't actually think about these letters and try to deduce "meaning." Just read'em for what they are -- half-bright rants from the terminally strange -- give a little chuckle, and move on. :)

2. I just laugh at them.
They find new and unique ways to butcher the spelling of words we use every day. "ORGINSATION" being one of the more shining examples.

Speaking of, somebody needs to remind some of the knuckle-draggers that there's a key just a fraction of an inch to the left of the 'a' key. This key is the 'caps lock' key, and its deactivation can go a long way towards not making you look like a damn fool.

10. It would be nice if they left on the email address
of these correspondents, so we could all respond to their "concerns."

12. Can't get too much of the "Hate Mailbag"
Well, maybe I should think that over.:eyes:

I loved the letter from Stacie who thinks that Democrats complain too much and is really put off by "Barbara Boxley."

Hilarious.

14. Proper use of the English language and syntax = "Elitist"????
I'm with you about the hate mailbag. It's a harsh, bitter pill to swallow because it showcases a group of people who are so far gone to the neocon side that they have no ability to think or reason for themselves.

I've never understood why some people automatically label well-spoken, intelligent individuals as "Elitists". It's the silliest thing I've ever heard. Um, am I supposed to apologize for the fact that I worked hard in school and tried my best during those many years in English class? Hey, if properly constructing a sentence makes me an elitist then so be it. But I always thought an elitist was someone who favored one group of people, ideals, etc. over another. Um, sort of like how Rethugs favor rich white business men and over-enthusiastic Christians over the poor and less fortunate amongst us.

18. Oh bosh. That's a bunch of teeny boppers whose Republican
parents have filled their rooms with computers, XBoxes, cable TV, DVD and cell phones. I can hear them now on their cell phones crowing to their peers about the "kewl" emails they just sent while their parents are splayed in front of the TeeVee bobbing their heads in unison to everything Falafel Bill has to say.

16. exactly right, every word. Hope my sarcasm was understood.
Nothing gripes me more than the success the right has had in their labeling.
I will "listen" to a George Will and give his thoughts the weight they deserve, although I agree with little of what he offers. But, his thoughtful use of the language causes me to clearly understand where he's coming from and even if I don't completely agree with Will, my thinking on a matter always seems better informed.
Then there's Robert Novak.......

19. I've honestly never seen the point to the comments
Generally the letters speak for themselves, misspellings and all.

The comments are mean-spirited and only add fuel to the fire of their hatred.
