Watch out! I've been trained to disassemble! |
|
The blivet was just on NPR saying that Gitmo detainees "have been trained to disassemble...that means they lie." Just when I thought he couldn't get any stupider, he restores my faith in his ability to plumb new depths of imbecility.

It's my favorite thing when the Chimp gratuitously EXPLAINS to his audience what a word means, AND GETS THE WORD WRONG!

9. Don't forget Bush's explanation of "sovereign..." |
|
Bush's comment on tribal sovereignty creates a buzz
By LEWIS KAMB SEATTLE POST-INTELLIGENCER REPORTER
One word caused the most stir.
A five-letter word that George W. Bush uttered 3,000 miles away, one week ago today, at a gathering of minority journalists.
WHAT BUSH SAID Last week at the Unity: Journalists of Color conference in Washington, D.C., Seattle Post-Intelligencer Editorial Page Editor Mark Trahant, a Shoshone-Bannock Indian, asked President Bush his views on what tribal sovereignty meant.
Here's the transcript:
Question: What do you think tribal sovereignty means in the 21st century, and how do we resolve conflicts between tribes and the federal and the state governments?
President Bush: Tribal sovereignty means that; it's sovereign. You're a -- you've been given sovereignty, and you're viewed as a sovereign entity. And, therefore, the relationship between the federal government and tribes is one between sovereign entities. (more hilarity) http://seattlepi.nwsource.com/national/186171_bushtribes13.html

The ONLY time he can pronounce a four-syllable word correctly is when it's not the word he meant to use.

"As democracy is perfected, the office of President represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart's desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron."---H.L. Mencken, The Baltimore Evening Sun, July 26, 1920
