Today's RW BS: Woodward, Felt caused us to lose Vietnam
I imagine Mark Felt will also be blamed for the poor economy, global warming and 9/11, too.

http://www.salon.com/politics/war_room/index.html

Others have waxed far more serious about the revelation of Deep Throat's identity. Even "deadly serious," as in the case of Pat Buchanan. On Tuesday, the one-time Nixon advisor took the opportunity to clarify why the U.S. really lost the Vietnam War, and who the most odious political operatives of the day were: "There's something deadly serious here," Buchanan said on MSNBC's "Harball" with Chris Matthews. "People that brought down Nixon also resulted in the fall of South Vietnam, the death of hundreds of thousands of people. ... Nixon was brought down by people who were a hell of a lot worse than he was."

Buchanan got some solid backup from fellow history wiz Rush Limbaugh, who added that Woodward, Bernstein, Felt and company were also responsible for the genocide in Cambodia that left approximately 1.7 million dead. "Had they not brought down Nixon, we wouldn't have lost Vietnam," Limbaugh affirmed during his Wednesday broadcast. "Had not brought down Nixon, the Khmer Rouge would not have come to power and murdered two million people in a full-fledged genocide."

6. I DARE any RW parrot to ever advance that crap to me!
I will crush them on Vietnam and Cambodia.

I cannot believe they have the balls to even whisper the names of those places, much less try to deflect blame.

They should be tied to Henry Kissinger when he plummets off this mortal coil into hell.

they BOTH somehow managed to NOT do their part in "winning" Vietnam!!!
I think if we had had fatasses like Limbaugh and Buchanan over there we could have won handily! We were on the edge of a breakthrough into the light at the end of the tunnel, and to turn the corner we just needed 2 more husky, wide bottomed boys to stop ak47 rounds and so "tip the scales" for our final victory over Communism. But they had other priorities in the 1960s and early 70s. Other priorities like indulging in drinking and drugging and partisan politics. And eating lots of cheeseburgers I'd guess. So selfish.

THEY'RE THE ONES RESPONSIBLE FOR KHMER ROUGE ATROCITIES!

15. No, you have it all wrong
If Rush had gone to Vietnam we would have lost a lot sooner. He would have gotten himself captured and given the Viet Cong valuable information.

Or he might have been put in command of a patrol and gotten everyone killed.

11. Same as the Germans in the 1930's
Their loss in WW1 came from the "stab in the back" Jews and the Bolsheviks. The French, British and US troops had nothing to do with it, the Royal Navy blockade had nothing to do with it, the Allied armor and air superiority in the later months had nothing to do with it, the blind alley of poison gas had nothing to do with it. No ,it had to be the Jews.
Same shit from repigs now. NVA and Viet Cong infantry had nothing to do with it, Mig-21-19-17 and SA-2 had nothing to do with it, General Dung and his T-55 assault had nothing to do with it, the failure of Lam Son 79 had nothing to do with it. No it was the Liberal/Jews who kept our hands tied behind our back, and let the genocide occur. As if Nixon could snap his fingers and make everything turn out right, and Jane Fonda withheld the fruit of victory. We need to get those pigs like Rush off their podium and replace them with real Americans.

13. I've heard that glop from disgruntled vets from time to time for years
Ya know, the ones who want it to have been a glorious conquest?

My favorite one to hear it from is a former father in law who was a higher up MP in Saigon for a couple of years and never saw a shot fired in anger.

Dingbats, nitwits, and cretins.

14. Pay VERY close attention to what he says - he's a traitor!!!!
"People that brought down Nixon also resulted in the fall of South Vietnam, the death of hundreds of thousands of people. ... Nixon was brought down by people who were a hell of a lot worse than he was."

So, it was OK for Nixon to lie to the American people. That is such bullshit, and the reason why they are doing this now is because KKKarl knows that Bu$hitler is in trouble, and they want people to see what happens to those who "betray". What do you want to bet something "mysterious" happens to Felt now?
