Harris running for the Senate?!
Has anybody heard about this? What happened to her gig about our image in the middle east?

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - Republican Rep. Katherine Harris (news, bio, voting record), who as Florida's secretary of state was both praised and vilified for her part in the 2000 presidential recount, said Tuesday she will run for the Senate next year against Democratic incumbent Bill Nelson. Her announcement brings a major name to the race, along with the potential to raise a lot of money.

"The time has come to launch a campaign for the U.S. Senate," Harris told The Associated Press.>

2. Dear god
Anyhow this should be a hotly contested one despite Nelson being one of the more moderates in the senate dem caucus, he won in a close one against former Clinton impeachment manager Bill McCollum last time in 2000. I hope he can pull this off.

3. leaves her wide open for questions and allegations...
About her involvement in election fraud. Great time to start re-planting those seeds in the sleepy giant's mind. Clearly we don't need the garbage, just the stink.

Yep, she's running folks. Personally I don't think she'll get elected tho. We'll see just how many freeps are willing to risk overthrowing another election.

7. Bill Nelson has not conspired to steal any elections, of course and as far
as we know.... but, as a whole he is not my kind of democrat ... i think florida is kind of in a tough spot... there will be lots of people who will not want to vote--and there will be others who will vote just so that no republican gets the seat.

enhancing perhaps all sorts of excused for the bushboys and their stealing machines to steal the votes in favor of their partner in crime, katherine harris.

9. Then WHY do Floridians elect her?????
I don't even know how they can stand to look at her. Most of my family lives down in Florida, so I know they're not all crazy enough to vote for her.

..But evidently she DOES has a following??? :puke:

12. she barely won in a district created especially for her
well, she got 55% of the vote, but that's not much considering that when Florida was redistricted in 2002, the republican controlled legislature drew the district especially for her.
