I think I may have a solution for the Military to up their recruitment . . |
|
Edited on Fri Jun-10-05 10:31 PM by frankly_fedup2
Instead of standing in the halls of high schools and colleges with their little tables and pamphlets, they have forgotten that (most but not all), people that so strongly support the War and agree with everything Bush does, says, and screws up, are found in our "Christian Churches."
How could they turn the recruiters away?
If they turned the recruiters away, does that mean they do not support the troops that are fighting their war now?
I can see no logical reason not to email (or snail mail to be anonymous) a local recruiter's office. Save the recruiter some time by including a listing of all the churches in the area and the main contact number of who they should get in touch with. Also, send the same thing to the local churches to contact the recruitment office.
Lastly, include a small note stating you felt this would increase their recruitment greatly as the Right, Christian, White Evangelicals are the main supporters of the war. Then wish them "Good Luck."
Then, watch and see how nothing happens. Hypocrites.

1. And make sure they know when all the youth groups meet. Maybe the college |
|
christian groups too. Surely they will volunteer.

deaths no more than any of you; however, I really do think it is hypocritical not to go to the Christian Summer Camps, the churches youth groups, etc. Why haven't they done that yet? These are the people (most but not all) who are the loudest in their support, right?
Like the Congress should have a recruitment day for their children of age including Bush and his "girls", who I have heard still do not have a job. Well, the branch doesn't fall far from the tree, obviously.

but they have other priorities... you should have been present the other day when one of these boys was telling us how bad them aryabs are... this kid was very much shocked when
1.- He faced two vets... we were not ammused, damn I wish my hubby had been present, that would have made three vets (me not the US Miltiary but a vet nonetheless)
2.- This vet started quoted scripture in two different langauages... they HATE IT when we liberal atheist KNOW scripture better than they do.
Oh and we were nice and told this ass hat to get his coward little body down to the Marine Recruit Depot, hell I offered to drive him, right there and then even if I had to listen to prayze the lord and jesus for five or ten more minutes.
Oh and once I was done ahem mopping the floor, he decided that cowardice was teh best route and left...

11. Calling all lawyers who are members . . . we need some advice please? |
|
Are you willing to make a list for your local recruiter's office and give them the contact numbers, etc. It might take a little bit of time, but I don't see this war ending anytime soon (unfortunately).
If everyone did this, and even send a copy of the letter, the contact information, and the recruiter the information was sent to, then ask the media to check in a month or so to see if their recruitment has gone up.
Can you see all the mothers and/or fathers sneaking their kids out the back way of the Church? Can you see the military-aged kids not coming to Sunday Bible study, or Tuesday prayer, or Wednesday Worship, and by the next Sunday, the membership will be down quite a bit.
They are cowards. They can run their mouths, send other kids over there, tell them to quit complaining about their lack of hazard pay or increase of Life Insurance, or their lack of armor protection, or some of them having been there for the past two years. God I'm sick to my stomach now.
I'm going to start researching this tomorrow. I am going to see if the recruiters actually do go to the churches (I really doubt it), and if not, and if there are no laws against it, I'm going to start making my lists and sending them out. I will update what happens if I'm able to do that.
Anyone else willing to find out if it is legal to do this? It could be something that might shut their mouths and open their eyes.

8. Check out Clear Channel, see when they are holding one |
|
I'm surprised Clear Channel doesn't do military recruitment at their events. They worked hard enough to sell the war in Iraq.

13. Welcome to DU friend. Glad to see your willingness to participate |

so soon. We need to do something. Marching, protesting, etc., is not getting us anywhere. I do know that by doing this, I will feel I have tried to accomplish something in hopes of bringing all the troops home (even the ones whose parents support Bush . . .they are still America's kids and we need to get them all home).
Let's get to work.

9. not to be rude, but- you fool! the only way to boost recruitment is... |
|
to completely decimate the economy and create a huge and desperate lower class who's only choice is between serving up hamburgers or bullets. although EVERYONE thinks te draft is politically untenable- they fixed the elections, no? thionk they cannot fix up a draft? they hand select the draft board!!

DU provides for all the posters.
Your comments made absolutely no sense whatsoever as I could not find a complete sentence within the whole post.
Also, punctuation can be very important when trying to make a statement.
Welcome to DU friend; however, we try not to call each other names. You can agree to disagree, but it is not nice to call anyone a "fool" because they disagree with you.
