Watergate break in anniversary is today, June 17 |
|
33 years ago today two Washington Post metro reporters began covering a small break-in at Democratic National HQ. That and their subsequent coverage eventually brought down the Nixon presidency.
Let's have a moment of silence to remember the Washington Post, once a real journalistic enterprise, now a failed, partisan mockery of its former greatness.

2. I just spent 4 days at The Watergate Hotel. |

The bellmen are discreet, but they'll direct you to the duct taped door, Room #214 (where evidence linking G. Gordon Liddy and E. Howard Hunt was discovered) and the offices on the 6th floor of the office complex (now Urenko Nuke energy marketing firm and the McCann law firm).
