Is Iraq already in the midst of a civil war ? |
|
Today, 43 more Iraqis killed at last count. The US casualty count is now 1722 dead...Doesn't seem that long ago when the total hit 1500? The Shiites are killing the Sunnis - the Sunnis are killing the Shiites. They will both kill the Kurds. Are they already in a civil war? Isn't the US stuck in the middle? Still think there are no similarities to Vietnam?

2. They have been in a civil war for decades |

Remember when the Shiites tried to overthrow Saddam after Gulf War 1, and Poppy told Schwartzkopf to do nothing as Saddam slaughtered the Shiites with helicopter gunships?

But making us believe they are is the goal of the administration and their MSM lackeys. How else to justify keeping troops there and spending a few billion on the mega-bases being built?
We need the oil, so we need a compliant Iraqi government. Barring that, civil war will do nicely, even if it's a figment of the talking heads' imagination.

The minority has been flushed out, the Kurds want an independent piece of territory, the US corporacratic puppets are in charge, the vast majority of Iraqis are living in extraordinary oppressive circumstances.
Hardly the "candy and roses" scenario the greedy, friggin', power-grabbin' neoCONs predicted. But, hell, they don't give a shit as long as money and power continues to be funneled to them.
Our presence will NEVER EVER fix this mess. And I'm not just talking about military presence, I am talking about corporacratic presence.
If the assholes-in-charge actually cared about the Iraqi people and their nation (which they DO NOT), they would work really really hard to work through the UN to gather a coalition of like-minded Muslim individuals to help secure the nation and they would work really really hard to build an economy from within.
But, they don't give a shit and they won't do anything near that. They want to RULE and they want to escalate the M.E. conflict into to world war.
The BushCo/neoCON cabal MUST BE STOPPED!!!!
