Looks like cloture on Bolton is going to fail.
Edited on Mon Jun-20-05 05:38 PM by longship
Senate voting now. I haven't heard any Dems crossing over.

On edit:Correction Landrieu (LA), Dayton (OH), and Nelson (NE) crossed to the dark side.

Voinovich (OH) crossed over to the good side.

Not enough for the Repugs.
:bounce: :yourock: :woohoo: :applause:

Cloture fails 54-38

13. CNN reported earlier Dems were going to fall a few votes short.
I hope they are wrong.

17. CNN got stupid and lazy -- counting NO votes
The requirement is 3/5ths of all Senators, not just those present. Thus, it makes no difference if the NO votes are fewer than 40, as long as the YES votes aren't 60 or more.

25. WAY TO GO DEMS AND VOINOVICH!
I don't know what's up with Landrieu, Dayton, and Nelson, but no worries much here. They have to stay somewhat toeing that line if they want to stay in office. I'd still rather a NAY vote on Cloture. But it's alright...
