4. Not a Kerry supporter per se....
But not too far off. I've always liked JK and was sad when it appeared his campaign was losing steam. I like seeing him back on an upward trajectory.

I could very easily get behind a JK candidacy.

Anyone who hasn't seen the "Sen. John Kerry (D-MA) Chili Feed in Claremont, NH" video on CSPAN, go to http://www.cspan.org/videoarchives.asp?CatCodePairs=, and watch it, you will be inspired and encouraged!

are petty attacks. Why should we have to legitimize their attack with a response?

If it was over a policy question, then yeah, it would be wise to respond.

20. Sigh.
Do you really think this will fool anyone? Everyone knows that we've all known each other for a loooooong time due to our hardcore Skull and Bones connections, and, of course, we know more than enough about the other DU members through their implanted tracking chips. I suppose it is wise to go through the motions, though, to insure our grip on the controlled masses. To all of you non-supporters, remember: Obey.

31. Count me in--I've switched to Kerry
Edited on Sun Jan-25-04 02:51 PM by kstewart33
I sent my first $$$ to his website yesterday. Let's keep supporting Kerry on this site. A few months ago, I thought that Dean had real potential, but there has simply been too many mistakes, gaffes, retractions, etc.

My top priority is to beat Bush, but I think that will be extremely difficult. So for me, the key question is how do we stem any losses in the Senate? For me, if we lose and lose with Kerry, we won't lose big and lose more seats in the Senate.

If we lose with Dean, katy bar the door. It will be a defeat of staggering magnitude with terrible costs. Because if the Repubs get 60 seats in the Senate, it's all over.

42. Welcome, and I agree
Dean would lose at least 40 states and bring down the party. Thankfully Iowans ignored the media coronation of Dean and decided to not only 'send a message, but to send a president'. When push came to shove Iowans picked Kerry because he is our best chance to beat Bush.

48. I tell ya
I would be a Kucinich supporter if I thought he had a snowballs chance. I know that Nader has stated that Kucinich is the candidate who is most like him, and Kerry is the candidate who is most like him who is electable.

Older folks like me vote strategically, not on issue, as to be honest, they pretty much have the same issues.

Kucinich is a visionary, and presents the ideology that the U.S. will follow in 30 to 50 years. He is correct, His vision of the futire the most hopeful, but unattainable in America today.

While Dean talks the party line, his history is backwards lokking, and his ideas and platform most closely resmeble the ideals of Nelson Rockerfeller, whom Vermont Political Scienctistshave compared Dean to.

There is absoltely nothing new about Deans ideas, they closely mirror the pre-neo-conservative, moderate Republicans that Deans father supported, and espoused by Deans closest advisor, Harlan Sylvester. Dean is appealing to the liberals which I find amusing, as he has absolutely the most vconservative record of all the candidates, while Kerry is solidly holding the center, which is the strongest group in New Hampshire, which is with Maine, the most conservative of the New England States, sort of like Florida with snow days.

45. Here we are:
Polls that are including undeclared voters (independents) are the polls that right now have Kerry with commanding leads.

ARG's latest (they include independents)Has Kerry at 38 percent and Dean at 16 percent with an MoE of 4 percent, which as Kerry leading Dean at 5 times the MoE.

WMUR polls are down, but they are already stating that Kerry is the likely winner in N.H.

66. count me in
after he beat (the popular, photogenic, Governor) Bill Weld I knew Kerry was a closer, as they say in the horse racing biz. I met him once to receive a small business award; he was sharp, funny, philosophical, and prone to self-examination. He's positively introverted by political standards, and that's what America needs most: a good hard look at itself, not reflexive blame of everyone and everything else, as we see every day from the Bush administration and the Dean campaign.
