Democrats.com: Prosecute Bush for War Crimes
Wahooo! Now they're talkin' my language.

Some Sunday morning activism for those so inclined.

http://democrats.com/organize

then choose the "Prosecute Bush for War Crimes" link to go to the petition. On the petition page, there is a link to a compendium of war crimes committed by the Administration.

1. il fait mauvait
Why are the children less human because they have darker skin? Why is war less terribly and far more ignored because we are a 'righteous' western nation? so far i have only questions. we need a revolution.

5. You have got to be kidding me
Signing a petition is not activism. Sitting behind a screen is not activism. Walking around with one is. Getting people to sign it (either online or in reality) is activism. Holding a protest or rally is activism. But honestly, signing a petition cannot be considered activism.

6. Why do you seem to assume that folks are not...
DOING something other then just signing? Most on this board at least strike me as rather pro-active.

I disagree with your comment about "sitting behind a screen is not activism"... sitting behind a screen can be activism if they're getting the word out through emails and posting on message boards. For some, like the disabled, it's the one way they can be activist. Not everyone can always get or physically do protest marches, etc.

Also IMO even if all a person does or can bring themselves to do at this time (for whatever reason) is sign petitions for something they believe in it still is a form of activism since they are ACTING rather then sitting by and doing nothing at all.

7. The people behind these screens are the ones keeping the DSM
going. Take a look around. Activism is all around you.
