I started checking Dem state party websites for voting machine fraud info
Edited on Tue Jun-28-05 01:40 AM by barbaraann
and, working my way from the Far West to the Dakotas, I could not find anything. So I gave up.

(I did notice that Idaho, Montana, and South Dakota are hiring.)

Well, maybe it's time for me to stop donating unless the issue of electronic voting fraud is addressed. I donated thousands of dollars and many hours in the last campaign and I'm just not sure any more that I should continue. It seems to me that electronic voting fraud or the possibility of electronic voting fraud is one of the most important issues here on DU and I just can't figure out why our party leaders don't get it.

1. Wait ... Don't Give up !!
There really ARE things happening even as we speak...

Georgia for example-

Rep. McKinney (D-GA) Discusses Hack as Diebold Attacks Elections Official

Or California...

Activists rip Diebold voting units

How about Floridians?
http://onlinejournal.com/evoting/060305BBV/060305bbv.html

**** But MOST importantly ---- you should keep an eye on what Bev Harris is doing!! ****

--->>> http://www.blackboxvoting.org/

I'll bet anything that some of the people helping out behind the scenes in the Diebold investigation are the other companies who create voting machines, but who keep getting aced out by Diebold.

When the evidence is ready to be exposed, it will be.. You have to believe! Tampering with machines and getting away with it one time worked --- but they'll be nailed before the next major election.

They really are on the case barbara ~

2. Thank you so much!
I have done a few things for the cause also, and it will be wonderful to see the integrity of the vote restored. :-)

3. Wait, larissa, aren't you with OVC?
You know, THIS OVC which Bev is now calling traitorous to the cause?

And then -- what is the architecture of the system? I was surprised to hear, upon meeting with the Open Voting Consortium folks this month, that they intend to sell their system (sell, not give) and seem to be looking at putting it into the existing vendors' hardware -- a concept that begins to sound like the old VoteHere nonsense, with a new magic bullet (open source instead of cryptography).

If I were one of the creepy privatized vendors who've been eroding away our electoral rights, I'd infiltrate Open Voting Consortium, cozy up to them, make them think I was going to reform my evil ways (Hah!) and then I'd be in a perfect position to neutralize that threat to my control of elections. Watch out for ES&S, and take some lessons from what ES&S has done so far after cuddling up to Vogue on the AutoMark system.

As Harri Hursti, who was with us at the meeting, said: "If you put your software in my hardware, I own you."

They admitted that this is correct. Hardware can be used to disrupt or corrupt even an honest software functionality.

4. Could this have anything to do with
Bev Harris now turning hostile to OS voting software?
