Fox: "Bush did not use the "f" word to describe the fate of the leaker"
FOX TO THE RESCUE!

Because Bush never used the word "fired," he's not accountable fot keeping a promise he didn't make! SCOTTY may have said that the person would "no longer be in the administration," but HEY...SCOTTY AIN'T BUSH! Mashed potatoes don't mean GRAVY!

Rupert, the check is in the mail, you disgusting motherf**ker.

:grr:

Early in the probe, President Bush said those responsible would be held accountable.

"If there is a leak out of my administration, I want to know who it is and if the person has violated the law, the person will be taken care of," Bush said in September 2003.

Bush did not use the word "fired" to describe the fate of the leaker, but some reporters and Democrats seem to expect that response.

"The White House promised if anyone was involved in the Valerie Plame affair, they would no longer be in this administration, his administration. I trust they will follow through on this pledge," said Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid.

22. In a Dem administration the repukes would
have seen to it that there were indictments, an impeachment, trials, and convictions two years ago. This would never have been on the back burner this long to begin with.

18. In fairness,
If I promised to take care of someone I'd probably mean I was going to make sure nothing bad happened to them. Possibly that was what Bush meant?

5. Aha! He'll be "taken care of"
That's the secret. In *'s reality distortion field "taken care of" means that he will be rewarded for his loyalty. Could be he will receive a Medal of Freedom. Or, he will get promotion to some other high up post. That's what * means by "taken care of".

6. In this misadministration...
being held accountable means being given a medal. The stench of hypocrisy is so bad in this White House that they will have to fumigate after they leave.

8. "Taken care of" reminds me of Pulp Fiction scene where Julius
points his fingers at his head like a weapon and asks "Taken care of?" when Travolta meant "watch out for".

10. Why doesn't Bush speak for himself?
Either he's going to fire Rove or not. Either he's willing to tolerate having a felon as is top adviser or not. Either he's going to hold his cronies to the same standards as any other government employee or he thinks the members of his administration are above the law.

Speak up Chimp! Quit using FOX news as your mouth piece.

12.  Transcript says FOX is Lying.....
President Bush on June 10, 2004, at news conference after G-8 Summit in Sea Island, Ga.

Q. Given recent developments in the C.I.A. leak case, particularly Vice President Cheney's discussions with the investigators, do you still stand by what you said several months ago, suggestion that it might difficult to identify anybody who leaked the agent's name? And ...
A. That's up …
Q. And do you stand by your pledge to fire anyone found to have done so? And …
A. Yes.
Q. And finally …
A. And that's up to the U.S. attorney - to find the facts.
Q. My final point would be - or question would be, has Vice President Cheney assured you, subsequent to his conversations with them, that nobody in his office had anything …
A. I haven't talked to the vice president about this matter, and I suggest - recently, and I suggest you - you talk to the U.S. attorney about that.

From the NYT: President Bush and Scott McClellan, the White House spokesman, have discussed the disclosure of the identity of a covert C.I.A. operative at a variety of news conferences and briefings for reporters. Following are excerpts of transcripts of those sessions as recorded by the White House and Federal News Service.

20. I thought he meant "taken care of" in a Tony Soprano kind of way
As in, if you get caught just kill yerself and save us the trouble.

But seriously, aren't we all glad how they've restored dignity and honor to the White House? Aren't we reassured that we've got plain spoken folks in the WH? No more of that elitist grammar parsing, no more triiaall lawyer definition splittin'... just good, decent, moral Christian folks.
