Get your Wilson/Rove Talking Points here-direct from the RNC |
|
Edited on Wed Jul-13-05 08:11 AM by underpants
I ran across Rush spewing these out yesterday afternoon and Gingrich reading them line for line on O'Reilly last night. BTW- the one about Wilson's report not changing the status of intelligence reports on yellow cake from Niger is my favorite-the reason it didn't change the assessment was because the document was already a joke in DC and the intelligence community. It didn't change it because Wilson's report agreed with the (obvious) conclusions everyone had already reached. still spewing:
Wilson said that Cheney's office sent him to Niger, he lied.
Wilson's wife sent him to Niger and the Intelligence Committee has memos to prove it.
The lies are being perpetuated

3. Let's say his wife did send him, |
|
even though we know she did not.
Would it have been a crime if she had? What exactly is their point?

6. As usual they are spinning like a top |
|
AS far as I can tell Wilson never said she made the decision she just recommended him (she has no authority to send him anyway) so they are just changing the beginning to fit their end.

4. Newt was spouting them this morning on the Today show also. |
|
The Wash Journal callers seem to have these down. Ken Mehlmen was on CNN yesterday doing it too but so did Kyra Phillips - a CNN anchor.
It is only 8:00 am (CST) and already my head is about to explode.
I HATE it when we go into these one-way spin cycles with the Republicans out spewing, smearing and lying and no one is countering it. The news anchors sure as hell don't challenge them.

7. I missed him on the Today Show |
|
What was funny was O'Reilly just letting Gingrich spew endlessly. O'Reilly just looked like he was punching the clock for the RNC- he didn't look to convinced.

10. Was this AFTER the Vince Vaughan sitdown interview? |

I saw that-very interesting and much more fact based than anything Newt could possibly have to say.
