Imus: Joe Wilson a "dope" and an "unknowing, panty-wearing wussy"
Said that the underlying issue is really about rushing us into war under false pretenses.

Then made the comment that's in my subject line to David Gregory.

Kids...don't do drugs.

1. You sure Imus wasn't discribing himself?
Imus really is what he just called Joe Wilson.

That's the way the corporate media works in today's amerika.

3. Joe Wilson faced down Saddam Hussien and
saved many American lives in 1990 as ambassador to Iraq.

Imus would not have the guts to do what Wilson did.
He is just doing his bit to spin the story ..... frigging
no talent!

34. wilson dared hussein to execute him, dared him
"In 1990, while sheltering more than a hundred Americans at the U.S. Embassy and diplomatic residences, he briefed reporters while wearing a hangman's noose instead of a necktie -- a symbol of defiance after Hussein threatened to execute anyone who didn't turn over foreigners.

The message, Wilson said: "If you want to execute me, I'll bring my own rope."

"This toughness impressed President George H.W. Bush, who called Wilson a "truly inspiring" diplomat who exhibited "courageous leadership" by facing down Hussein and helping to gain freedom for the Americans before the 1991 war began.

6. Is it true that Imus has been caught fondling himself under his desk...
... several times over the past years, while spouting some of these right-wing talking points?

8. Some people say that he fondles male
horse dicks while "Happy Trails to You" is played over speakers
in the barn.

20. We shouldn't repeat that rumor about Imus fondling equine
genitalia. that would be wrong.

("Happy Trails" was a nice touch, by the way.)

22. Well, I wasn't aware it was EQUINE genitalia Imus was fondling...
... so I'll certainly be careful not to spread rumors that Imus fondles himself under his desk whenever he spouts right-wing talking points.

Spreading rumors, such as Imus fondling the genitalia either of himself or of the horses he loves, does seem wrong.

32. Ah, I see. It's not that he fondles the horse, he fondles himself while..
... gazing fondly at his horse.

Now I understand. See? And who says the internet can only be used to spread rumors? Today we've successfully, er, beaten back a rumor about Imus' horse, and learned the truth about Imus himself.

13. That's a very good question.
There's around 300 million people in America and they can't find anyone more insightful and entertaining than Imus? They must not be looking very hard.

14. Here's the short answer:
It's been about six months since I watched the MSNBC show, and I've never been a "regular" viewer / listener. Got up around 4:00 AM this morning, made the coffee, grabbed the remote, and started flipping through the program guide. About 80% of the "basic cable" shows were "paid programming" (infomercials) and in the middle of all of that was Imus. So I said "what the hell," and then saw that David Gregory was the phone-in guest, so I hung for all of about ten minutes.

9. Imus' mind is so diseased from years of...........
alcohol and drug abuse it's a wonder he can function at the diminished level that he does.
For the life of me, I cannot understand why people listen to this cretin's show everyday. Maybe it's the trainwreck theory; everyone wants to stare at the gruesome carnage, they can't pull their eyes away. He's such a putz!

Hello

Hello

Hello

Is there anybody IN there...

Just nod if you can hear me...

Is there anyone home?

(Apologies in advance to Syd fans. You're right, he does not deserve to be compared to Imus).

Imus is Imus.

On everyone side--on no one's side--except of course his own.

17. I remember those Bush-Kerry flip-flops very well.
At one point, when one of his lackeys reminded him during a Kerry-bashing rant that he had stated his intention to VOTE for Kerry, Imus replied "I might change my mind and vote for Bush. I want to go with the winner."

Then he went back to Bush-bashing.

23. But I swear I heard Joe Scarborough, who was on near the end
of the show, wonder why the Republicans aren't in an uproar over a CIA agent being outed. He even opined about "what if it was the Clinton White House." I had only been half listening, so maybe I missed something. It was Scarborough, after all, and he almost always toes the party line.

29. Question BEB ! Did he say "Said that the underlying issue is really about
rushing us into war under false pretenses" I wasn't sure if you meant Imus or Wilson?

The two sentences 1) trashing Wilson and 2) it's really about rushing to war are opposing viewpoints. One good, one bad.

Can you please explain.

30. Imus doesn't like Wilson because
Wilson is an accomplished professional with principles, who is well spoken, has worked tirelessly for his country's safety, hasn't thrown his life away with drugs and mumbling endlessly on the radio about drivel.

Imus can't stand people who aren't basically as useless and cowardly as he is.

31. WTF does Imus have against panties!?!?! And how does whether someone
wears them or not affect their wussy or dopeyness factor? Trust me I know some rather big hairy muscled men who errmmm would break Imus into little tiny rhetorical pieces if he were to say such a thing to their faces.

Also while kids should not do drugs, not all drugs have this brain rotting effect that Imus seems to have. His particular affliction may in fact come from doing too many drugs with republicons. As that can be a real mental mindfuck, if you will pardon my saying so.
