BTW, where's Osama??!!
What happened to the Downing Street Memo?

Are we being fed a steady diet of Rove vs National Security so it stays on the back burner?

IOW, has a sure thing, like Rove weaseling his greasy way out of any wrongdoing, taken up evertone's time in a WH effort to come up with a way to dicredit the DSM by the time attention once again focuses on it?

4. Osama bin Layden (per Rummy today)
You would think Rummy would at least pronounce it right.

7. You know he does it to piss him off.
He knows better than that.

He also know he's either in AFG, in another country, or dead. :eyes:

9. On purpose makes me feel better than just stupidly ignorant
I know they don't care, since they got the excuse to inflame the world against the USA, excuse me to unite the world (against the USA) but I would rather he pronounces it wrongly on purpose rather than ignorantly or just not caring.

10. I never considered that...

but now that you mention it, It's hard to decide.

Would I rather he was too ignorant to try practicing it in front of the mirror a few tiems, or he just likes to jab when he can get one in?

EDIT: I heard some RW nut say "Rumsfield" once.

5. In a word, no. Rove and Co.are a big story
It may get lost for a bit because of other things lots of us are intensely interested about like who might be suggested for the SCOTUS, but Fitzgerald will tell the truth finally. After what I have read about the man, it's very comforting he's a non-conformist and not interested in politics, just truth.

I saw something today about DUH-bya wanting Fitz to hurry it along. What a scrotum.

12. Bin Laden is currently resting in peace.
No, no -- he's not DEAD!! Sorry, I didn't mean to mislead. I simply meant that nowadays with the heat off, he's lounging about in leisure, doing just as he pleases. Ah, the mischief that old rascal must be up to!

It seems that Big Brother has forgotten all about his old friend Goldstein.

14. They didn't forget Goldstein, they just switched him.
The problem with using Osama as Goldstein is that Osama actually exists (or at least did at one time) You need a completely fictional character for the Goldstein scenario, and while Al Qaeda itself (as a "worldwide terra network") is fictional, you need a face.

Even if that face was created on a law enforcement composite sketch software program.....

.....enter your new Emmanuel Goldstein, Mr Hopalong Zarqawi

Almost as scary as Osama, with none of the problems of him actually surfacing and ruining the story. Because he doesn't exist.

God bless technology!
