Oh Geez....another GOP Dean scream contest in Pittsburgh tomorrow. Idiots.

"Republicans plan to poke more fun at the episode when Dean, now chairman of the Democratic National Committee, appears today at a Democratic Party event in Lawrenceville. The Young Republicans of Allegheny County are hosting a "Howard Dean Scream" contest outside the Church Brew Works, 3525 Liberty Ave., where Dean is scheduled to speak at a $25-a-person money-raising rally.

Monica Douglas, executive director of the county GOP committee, said the idea "is just to create some buzz."

Grow up, idiots. I wonder how many will wear their Club Gitmo shirts like they did in Madison last week. They are not very bright, and they need to sign up to go to Iraq.

(On edit to bold the Club Gitmo)
See the cute little Club Gitmo shirt? And the radio host in the background of the 2nd picture who poses with the flag? Stupid is as stupid does.

2. Good comment by the DNC spokesperson.
"Damien LaVera, a spokesman for the DNC, described the GOP counter-rally as "sad." He said Dean "is coming to Pittsburgh to talk about serious issues that affect Pittsburgh families and the best they can do is a silly scream contest."

"There are real issues that matter to real families. Let's talk about those," he said."

24. That is an excellent
comment by Damien LaVera. It is sad how the ..I don't even know what to call them anymore. They're way below human.

They have no core of truth or anything to work with so it has to be lies and smears.

Retribution will be a Bitch.

44. College Republicans, yes. I connect them with Horowitz somehow.
They are, did, were trying to pass a law that would make sure professors were not too liberal. The legislator who proposed the law said he was influenced by the thought of David Horowitz and the College Republicans.

They threaten and sue professors, and that is very dangerous.

I don't know if the law passed, but the "shoot first, ask questions later" law passed. I would not be surprised if this one did as well.

6. Generally I recommend taking pity on people this lame, but considering
what a verminous bunch of scum they are, it's no holds barred time.

What we need is a good bush** impersonator. One that can capture that vacant start and the drooling while saying something totally stupid. Oh, and he'd have to mispronounce it badly at the same time. And we won't worry about whether or not it has any basis in fact. That never stopped bush** yet.

27. Democrats should have their own, bigger and louder.
That'd definitely defuse this.

Husb has often said the "Dean scream" should be adopted as our rallying cry. How about a loud rally where Democrats give the scream in unison? A leader could shout out all the reasons we have reason to hope, followed by the "scream."

"And we've got a true fighter in Harry Reid!" "YEAHH!"
"John Conyers will not be silenced!" "YEAHH!"
"The Bush Cabal will never take our country from us!" "YEAHH!"
"We're gonna take back the Congress in 2006!" "YEAHH!!"
"Dr. Dean is bringing new life to our party!!" "YEAHH!"

It'd be great if we embraced the scream and used it to the point that when people heard it, they'd figure, "Democratic rally."

Of course, counter ridicule could also be fun... A contest to see who can fall off a bike first? Fun trivia about Bushisms or true disasters of the administration? A Scotty McClellan impersonation contest, to see who can best avoid answering a question through repeated catch-phrases?

32. The RNC summer meeting is in Pittsburgh this week. Interesting.
Dean's visit coincides with it. Maybe there should be some frog marching outside their rally. No more stupid than doing that to Dean.

Rover and Mehlman were both leaders of this group of Young Republicans, and the group exhibits their charactistics.....Rove's humiliation tactics and Mehlman's inability to think outside of talking points.

http://pittsburghlive.com/x/tribune-review/trib/pittsburgh/s_353961.html

"Several hundred GOP leaders will descend on Pittsburgh in early August for a national conference that's designed as a business session but also aims to bolster U.S. Sen. Rick Santorum's re-election prospects.
Santorum, the third-ranking Republican in the Senate, is facing a serious challenge in next year's election from state Treasurer Bob Casey Jr., who is a heavy favorite to win the Democratic nomination.

Pittsburgh was chosen as the site for this year's Republican National Committee Summer Meeting -- set for Aug 4-6 at the Omni William Penn Hotel, Downtown -- at least in part because Democrats have made Santorum, of Penn Hills, a top-priority target in 2006, said RNC spokesman Aaron McLear.

"Howard Dean, chairman of the Democratic National Committee, will be in Lawrenceville on Tuesday in an effort to strengthen the party's base and fire up local Democrats. Vice President Dick Cheney is scheduled to visit Pittsburgh on July 25 to raise money for the re-election campaign of U.S. Rep. Tim Murphy, R-Upper St. Clair. Cheney was last in the region in March, when he appeared at a forum in McCandless with U.S. Rep. Melissa Hart, R-Bradford Woods. Murphy and Hart also are considered high-profile targets because their districts have more registered Democrats than Republicans. "
