Good luck to Al Gore.. new network launches August 1st..
I hope his new 24-hour network works out! It's called "Current", is supposed to be non-partisan and will be on the air Monday, August 1st..

...."Billed as the "first national network created by, for and with an 18-to-34-year-old audience," Current will launch in 20 million homes with programming designed to show younger audiences what's going on in their lives. It will do so in short bursts called "pods," which will vary in length from 15 seconds to five minutes."

3. How much are you going to learn in 5 minutes

Much less 15 seconds? I think one should credit 18 year olds with a little longer attention span than toddlers have.

4. I've learned more from short posts at DU...
...than I have from hours of cable news.

It's not quantity, but quality of info.

I hope Gore does it right & I wish him success.

5. Ahhh, Al, Mercury will be retrograde then
Since Mercury rules communication, this could be poor timing.

I remeber that the Clinton's announced their big national health care plan with Mercury Rx, and it got shot to hell in no time.

Just letting you know.
