Does the Constitution say you CAN'T employ a felon at the White House? |
|
Huh? Does it?
I, for one, am glad that a man of such personal character as our President George W. Bush has stood up and made it very clear that if anyone is convicted of anything that they will NOT be a member of his staff any longer. He has once again shown himself to be a man who does what he says or will if it should come to pass. That is the kind of leadership we need in these uncertain and dangerous times. A man who isn't afraid to stand up to the criminal element that the liberal culture has placated, even celebrated. No not this man, yesterday he made very clear that should the grand jury come down with indictments and the case end up in a conviction and once all their fundamental legal options are exhausted and they are indeed found to be guilty by the first, second, third, and fourth courts that will hear this case and rule on appeals that that person WILL no longer be on the White House payroll-the TAXPAYERS money.
Is there any ambiguity in that? No clearly not. If there is a conviction and it holds up on appeal (very likely given the liberal Bush hating state of our judicial system) then that person will no longer be paid with taxpayer moneys.
. .
. . . Okay I have to go spit and rinse.

3. He put on a suit and took and oath on the family Bible |
|
"I do solemnly swear (or affirm) that I will faithfully execute the office of President of the United States, and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the Constitution of the United States."
BOy I'll bet the founding fathers never thought the "to the best of my ability" would provide so much cover.
But honestly has he or anyone else in this administration been convicted of anything? I ask you.

http://www.salon.com/news/feature/1999/10/18/cocaine/snip Hatfield says he took a second look at the Bush cocaine allegations after a story in Salon reporting allegations that Bush did community service for the crime at the Martin Luther King Jr. Community Center in Houston's Third Ward.
